I want to thank Irena @ Books And Hot Tea for tagging me to do this. She tagged me several months ago and I am just now getting around to doing it because I am behind on doing all the tags but I am working on that slowly but surely.
Here are the rules:
- Credit Drew @ TheTattooedBookGeek as the creator of the tag, use the created tag name graphic and link back to his blog. (Also, if you want to learn more about the tag you can see Drew’s post HERE.)
- Answer the questions.
- Tag as many people as you want.
And now comes the fun part, the questions!
1. What is your favorite genre?
I am all about the romance.
2. Who is your favorite author from the genre?
Nicholas Sparks writes romantic fiction novels and he is my all time favorite author. I just love how every book I have ever read by him is relatable in some way or another.
3. What is it about the genre that keeps pulling you back?
Honestly I am just a sucker for romance. I love, love and I like reading about people finding their happily ever after.
4. What is the book that started your love for the genre?
I’m not really sure. I know I read some when I was younger but I don’t really remember what I read but the books that got me back into reading was the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I am not picky about what type of romance it is just so long as there is a romance included I love it.
5. If you had to recommend at least one book from your favorite genre to a non-reader/ someone looking to start reading that genre, what book would you choose and why?
You can’t go wrong with a Nicholas Sparks book in my opinion.
If you want more of an adult novel you can’t go wrong with any of Jillian Quinn’s books.
6. Why do you read?
I read to escape the real world for a while and because it’s fun. I love being able to get so drawn into another world that it’s like you’re there yourself. I love getting to live other peoples lives for however long it takes me to read the book.
I’m Tagging:
If you don’t want to do this feel free to just ignore it.
Once again thank you so much Irena for tagging me and I am so sorry it took me so long to do it. If you aren’t already following Irena you should go do that right now.
I completely understand, I’m behind on my tags, too. 😂 I enjoyed reading your post! 😊

Thank you for the tag. I will work on this one later today. I appreciate it. I haven’t read a lot of romance, and only 1 Nicholas Sparks book…. but I’d give another one a shot! 🙂

Can’t wait to read your post. I have been reading a lot of romance lately and I think I have probably read like 10-12 of his books. I am working on getting all of his books to put in my collection. Which book of his did you read? I feel like I read a review of it but I’m not sure I can’t remember lol.

I checked and I haven’t read anything. I have the longest ride on my shelf to read!

Oh I could have sworn I recently read a review you posted that was of a Nicolas Sparks book.

Historical fiction is probably my favorite and I can’t pick a favorite author! I have several 🙂

I don’t think I have read very much historical fiction. Oh I have other authors I love but Nicholas Sparks has been a favorite for as long as I can remember.

Terry Goodkind is probably my overall choice as The Sword of Truth series has taught me so much. Despite that, I wouldn’t say that Fantasy is my favorite genre. It is a favorite but not TOP favorite? I know, that is confusing 😂

I agree with all your answers! I’m a sucker for romance, although I am a big YA fan, and I’ve recently started reading Nicholas Sparks. A Walk To Remember and The Longest Ride are both on my summer TBR. Twilight was a huge influencer in my reading choices too. Team Edward all the way😂

Oh I love YA as well I have just found myself reading it and more romance based novels. I am so glad you are reading Nicholas Sparks books. How are you liking them? I haven’t actually read A Walk To Remember yet but I have read The Longest Ride and loved it. Yes I was always Team Edward!!

The only one I’ve read so far is The Notebook (which is also one of my favourite films) and I really liked it so I’m excited to see the others

I read the notebook a while ago and I can’t really remember how I felt about the book. I know I absolutely loved the movie.

I actually haven’t read many Nicholas Sparks books, but I do love the movies! Haha. Probably time for me to try out some of the books… 😀 And romance is totally so much fun!
