James’ Questions

What book best describes your life right now?

I’m not really sure if this counts or not but I have been trying to figure out an answer for this one question since yesterday evening. For this one I am going to go with Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. I chose this book because it represents disability. I am a double amputee which is no where near what Will is going through. But on a day to day basis I get stared at or talked about or made fun of. So for me because of that this book describes my life. I hope this works for this question because I had the hardest time answering it.

What makes you immediately feel connected to your characters? Answer either as a writer or a reader.

If I can see myself in the character.

What do you do with 3 hours of free time when no one knows about it?

I watch beauty gurus on YouTube. I do this pretty much every single day. I watch makeup videos and nail polish videos and everything to do with those.

There’s a million dollars in a bag under a tree. You can take it and no one will know, but you lose 1 year of your life. Do you do it?

No! As tempted as I might be I don’t think I could live with myself knowing I took something that didn’t belong to me so I would take it to a police station.

You must transfigure to an animal for the remainder of your life. Which one?

I love to swim so I think I would transform into a Dolphin. That would be so perfect.

One of your favorite authors asks you to help edit their next book. Do you do it?

Sure why not. Of course I wouldn’t be the greatest editor. The only issues I would be able to point out are misspelled words so I would have to make that known.

A genie in a bottle — lame, I know — offers you one wish. You have to choose between the following two.  Which one and why? (a) a pill that will cure any illness or (b) a clock that can be turned back by 24 hours to prevent a disaster.

Hmm… I think I would choose a pill that could cure any illness because you have the potential to save millions of people. Plus I don’t really want to tamper with history cause you never really know what issues that could bring up.

A family member has a secret that will change the world’s perception of you. You have the ability to lock them in a room never to be seen again. Do you do it?

No, I don’t know of any secret that would be so bad that the worlds perception of me would be changed plus I don’t really care what the world thinks of me and I am pretty sure my family would stick by me no matter what and that’s all that matters to me.

You find the Fountain of Youth and it offers you an opportunity to bring 2 people with you. Who do you choose?

I’m not answering this one because I can’t just choose two. What was it you said yesterday James? It’s not cheating it’s adapting the meaning. That’s what I’m doing for this question.

You have the opportunity to erase this post from your WordPress site, and I’ll never know you chose not to answer these questions. Would you do it?

Nope! I want to do every tag I have been tagged to do even if I get behind on them.

  1. Good morning! You just went for it there with the “adaptable” part of our conversation yesterday. Sneaky… but good. I think that’s a perfectly acceptable response! LOL

Love all the rest. But I’m sorry I made you struggle a bit with #1… but you certainly came back with a powerful answer. I don’t believe I’ve seen you post about it before (or it was before we connected), so it was a new share for me. Ridiculous what other people do and how they act, so all I can say is pity them for not focusing on themselves. Apparently they have a lot of work to do if they can treat someone else the way they treated you.

So glad you participated and had awesome answers all in vain with the theme of the award!

    1. Yeah I just had to use that!! Lol!

It’s all good! The questions you have to think about are the best kinds of questions. I was so close to saying I couldn’t come up with an answer for that but I went through all the books I have read one my time and then it finally came to me. I have posted about me being a double amputee but like you said I think is was before we connected. I have been dealing with it my whole life so at this point as bad as it is to say I am used to it. However, as I have gotten older I have started not really caring about what they do/say. When I was younger it always upset me but not anymore.

Thank you for nominating me I had fun answering theses questions and sorry it took me forever to do them.

      1. You are welcome. And never worry about how long it takes. It’s a fun thing and when it happens, it happens!

Good for you being able to move beyond people who act that way. Very strong and admirable. 🙂
