Hello bookworms!!
I wasn’t going to post anything today but I was tagged by Amanda @ A Brighter Shade Of Hope to do the Trick or Treat Around the Block Book Tag. Since today is Halloween I thought this would be a good post to do plus I didn’t want to have to wait a whole year to do this tag. This tag was created by The Bookish Porcupine. Please click on the link above to see Amanda’s post and while you’re there you should give her a follow. She has a variety of content from books and movies to lifestyle.
Creepy house on the corner of the street: book with a creepy cover
I am hoping to get this book read in November. There is something creepy about this cover to me even though it’s just a hand reaching around out of doorway. Does anyone else think it’s a little creepy or is it just me? It’s probably just me but that’s ok.
Lights out (party poopers): a book you want to read when you want to escape
I am going to go with Amanda on this one and choose Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. Any of the books would work for this one I just have the first one pictured. This is probably going to be a very popular answer for this question.
The house that gives out the cheap candy: guilty pleasure book
I don’t really have a guilty pleaser book. I read whatever I like and I don’t feel guilty about it. I was initially going to put Fifty Shades of Grey because it is so controversial but I don’t feel guilty for reading what I like so I am going to leave it unanswered pretty much.
The house with the best decorations on the block: best haunting/Halloween themed cover
Do I really need to explain my choice for this one? No, ok I didn’t think so.
The house that gives out the best candy: Halloween recommendation
I haven’t finished reading this yet. I’m currently like 150 pages into it so far so I haven’t really hit the scary part but I think this is the perfect book for this question.
Speed Round
Corn maze or haunted house?
I’m going to cheat on the first question and say both.
Classic or unique costume?
I’m going to have to go with classic on this one.
Sexy or scary costume?
I could never pull off a sexy costume so definitely scary.
Comedy or horror Halloween film?
Again I am cheating and saying both.
Chocolate or sour candy?
This is the easiest one to answer by far. I for sure will pick sour candy. I have never liked chocolate. I eat it every now and then but it’s to rich for me.
Since it’s already Halloween I am not going to tag anyone specific but if you are looking for a post to do on this Halloween day then I tag you. If you decide to do this tag please link back tome so I can see your post. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
I agree – that first cover is creepy. And I love some sour candy as well; I wish I had some now.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that finds it to be a little creepy. Yeah I’m wanting some sour candy now too lol.

I still need to read Stalking Jack the Ripper. I own both books already so I don’t know what’s stopping me from reading them lol.

HAHAHAHA I understand the struggle… they seem like good choices to pick up on a rainy sort of day….

Yeah I’m sure I will read them eventually. Probably after the 3rd book comes out.
