I was tagged by Amanda @ A Brighter Shade Of Hope to do the Book Character Awards 2017 Book Tag. I’m pretty sure she created this tag as well. If you aren’t already following her blog you should definitely head over there and give her a follow.
Favorite Male Character of the Year
There were several characters I could have picked for this but I decided to go with Ben from November 9 by Colleen Hoover.
Favorite Female Character of the Year
For this one I decided to go with Fallon from November 9 by Colleen Hoover. I picked these two characters (see #1) for the way the book made me feel and how much I was rooting for each character.
Most Relatable Character of the Year
There’s a couple different answers for this one. The first one being August (Auggie) from Wonder by R.J. Palacio and Lincoln from Girl Out of Water by Laura Silverman. I relate to both of these characters because of their disabilities and their experiences dealing with having a disability.
Couple of the Year
For the sake of trying not to repeat myself I am not going to choose Ben and Fallon even though I loved them. Instead I am going to go with Allison and Esben from 180 Seconds by Jessica Park.
Villain of the Year
I don’t root for the villains in books. I never have and I probably never will but I grew to love Ignifex from Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge.
Most Disliked Character of the Year
I don’t think there were any characters that I really disliked. Well I take that back I didn’t like the grandparents in The Roanoke Girls. I can’t remember their names but if you’ve read this book then you know why I disliked them so much.
Royal of the Year
Unfortunately I can’t think of an answer for this one. If I come up with someone later on I will update this post.
Sidekick / Non Main Character of the Year
Nurse Carla from Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. I can’t really say why without spoiling anything.
Sibling of the Year
I loved all of the Glass siblings from Watching Glass Shatter by James J. Cudney.

My choice – Teacher of the Year(Yes I’m doing the same one Amanda did.)
I don’t think I read many books with teachers in them but the one that stands out and definitely deserves a mention is one of the teachers from Wonder by R.J. Palacio. Sorry I can’t for the life of me remember his name but if you’ve read this book I’m sure you know which one I’m talking about.
