Hello bookworms!!
This weekend I will be participating in the #24in48 readathon. I’ve got everything ready to go and I am so excited to start reading. I thought I would share my TBR for the readathon today. Before I get into that here’s how it works.
If you’re new to 24in48, this is the basic gist: beginning at 12:01am on Saturday morning and running through 11:59pm on Sunday night, participants read for 24 hours out of that 48-hour period. You can split that up however you’d like: 20 hours on Saturday, four hours on Sunday; 12 hours each day; six four-hour sessions with four hour breaks in between, whatever you’d like.
If you want to sign up for the readathon you can do so here. Be sure to subscribe to their blog and check out the prizes that are available for participants throughout the entirety of the readathon. That’s pretty much it so now into what I hope to get read this weekend.
- Postcards from France by Megan McNeill Libby
- The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
- Watching Glass Shatter by James J. Cudney
- The Usurper King by Zeb Haradon
I know 4 books isn’t a whole lot but I also know that I most likely want get through all 4 of these so this is a good place to start. If I do manage to get through all of these I will just pull something off of my shelf.
Are you participating in this readathon? What do you plan on reading?
I’m doing this readathon. I don’t have a TBR, I’m just going to read what I feel like reading. I currently have three books checked out from the library so I will most likely read one of those.

I always set a TBR because I feel like I would wast so much time trying to figure out what I want to read. 2 of the books I chose were already on my January TBR so that’s why I went ahead and added those. Good luck!!

Thank you, I only make TBRs for readathons that have actual reading challenges like the Biannual Bibliothon.

I make them for everything. That seems to work for me and keeps me reading. I’ve never tried not making a TBR because I think without the TBR I will read less.

Good luck Misty!!!!
I made my first TBR list for my January TBR and I found it worked well. Currently on the last book of that list so I feel quite proud of myself! 😉

Thank you so much Nina!! I’m so glad that setting a TBR has worked so well for you. I always set a TBR because I’m afraid if I don’t have one I will read less.

It did help to push me but not to the point where I felt it was a chore.

That’s good you definitely don’t want it to end up feeling like a chore.

I wish you all the best in this readathon! I don’t ever think I could ever do this since I’m so busy, but I hope you can finish all four! Plus, the Hating Game looks really good! 🙂

Thank you so much!! I have nothing but time on my hands so what better way to spend it then reading books! It was pretty good. It was the first book I picked up this weekend. I had my issues with it but overall I did really enjoy it.

Definitely! If I had time to read as many books as I can, I definitely would! I’m so glad it’s going well and that you enjoyed it!

I’m going to be doing a wrap up post on how each day went for me and all but overall I am really happy with what I accomplished. I didn’t get to 24 hours either. I only managed 10 hours and 34 minutes. Yay I am so glad you participated!!
