Some Of My Favorite Standalone Novels

Hello bookworms!!

I got the idea for this post from Swords & Spectres. So thank you Aaron for the inspiration. I’m not one of those readers who prefers standalones to series or series to standalones. I enjoy either one so long as it’s a good story. That being said I always hear people talking about series and I thought it would be nice to show some love to some of my favorite standalones. I honestly don’t know if I have read very many standalones so we are going to be finding out together. Without further ado here are some of my favorite standalone novels.

When I read this book I connected with the main character on a personal level and it was at a hard time in my life. This was the first book that I ever read that I connected with on that level.

Again I connected with the story. Amy lost her legs after getting sick and this book details her journey. I am a double amputee myself but with me the difference was that I was born this way but even still I connected with her struggles.

Aside from the previous book mentioned this was the first book that I read that I actually saw myself represented in. I’ve never read a book where one of the characters was an amputee and I loved that I finally saw myself represented in a way.

I was so immersed in this story and found it adorable but utterly heartbreaking at the same time.

I grew up watching the movie and initially fell in love with the movie but I enjoyed the book as well.

I think I am going to leave it at 5 for now. I might do another post like this in the future though.

Have you read any of these? Did you like them? What are some of your favorite standalone novels?
