Hello bookworms!!
April wasn’t as crazy as March was. My husband got his final results back on his biopsy and we are pretty much right where we started. They weren’t able to determine for sure if the mass was cancerous or not. She said there’s a 50/50 chance. She told him with his age and the size it is she still recommends surgery but he said no to surgery. The only way he would do surgery is if they told him it was cancerous. So basically our next steps are to just monitor it. If he starts getting any symptoms he has to let her know and then he goes back in September for another ultra sound and biopsy to see if anything has changed. Other than that I have had a pretty laid back month. My granny was in Georgia for the month so I met up with her and my aunt and my second cousin for lunch one day at Cracker Barrel. I love that place but I only get to eat there 1 to 2 times a year when my granny is visiting. I also had a bridal shower to go to this past weekend. One of my best friends is getting married in June and I am so happy for her. Now lets start talking about what books I read.

The links will take you to my Goodreads review and just like usual I am a little behind on my reviews. Yeah you’re not seeing things I actually read Simon 3 times in one month. After I read it the first time I couldn’t focus on anything else because I kept thinking about Simon. So three days after I finished it the first time I picked it up again and that helped a little. At the end of the month I finished reading Cinder a day early so I decided to squeeze in one more book by listening to the audiobook of Simon. Quality was good this month granted some of them were rereads but still I am happy with what I read. So I had several books that I loved this month but can you guess which one was my favorite? That’s right it was Simon vs. with Father Figure close behind.
What I Watched
Jumanji: Welcom to the Jungle was the only new movie I watched this month and I enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty funny. Was it the best movie ever? No, but it was entertaining. I also watched The Greatest Showman. It came out on DVD this month so as soon as I bought it I had to watch it again.

And that’s a wrap!! I didn’t have any new music to share with y’all this month because I’ve just been listening to the same stuff lately. Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What was your favorite book of the month?
Sending positive thoughts for the hubby. Very scary. I’m so sorry you guys are going thru that!

Thank you so much!! 💕 Wonder is such a good book and it’s kind of heartbreaking as well. Yeah I should be able to take a pop quiz as much as I read it last month lol. Happy reading to you as well.

I love how you read Simon vs. three times, haha! I haven’t had the chance to reread it yet, but I really, really want to. I did read Leah on the Offbeat and LOVED IT SO MUCH.
Haven’t read James’ first novel yet – boo me – but I own a copy so I will eventually!

Yeah I was obsessed with Simon vs. last month. I can’t wait to get the DVD. I will probably end up watching it over and over again too lol. I want to read Leah on the Offbeat but I’m waiting for the paperback because I want it to match Simon. Most everybody seems to love it but I’ve seen a few people who haven’t. James’ books are so good. To me he’s an author to look out for.

I’m going to see the movie on Sunday – FINALLY. I cannot wait, haha.
I bought the paperback when I was in Scotland, only to come home and discover my Simon-paperback is half a cm shorter. I was furious.. :’)
Leah is a very unique character though. I can imagine people having some trouble with her. I also think some found other issues as well, but I haven’t read a lot of reviews yet – haven’t had the time.
Definitely planning on Watching Glass Shatter this year! I’ve only seen glowing reviews on it, so I can easily see why you’d say that, ha. 🙂

Simon unfortunately was never available in my theater so I’m waiting for the DVD that comes out next month sometime I can’t remember what day though. Oh I hate when that happens I’ve had that problem before too. Yeah she was very annoying and whiny to me in Simon so I’m curious to see if I feel the same way about her in her on book. Yeah I read a review where someone from the LGBTQ+ community says it was problematic and hurtful.

Right! I remember that! I’m definitely buying the DVD as well though. It’ll be cheaper than going to the movies four times because I can’t get enough of it.
Curious to see whether you’ll change your mind about her or not. 🙂 Let’s hope you do, because I could totally see myself in Leah and I might have to take it personally if you don’t! [Just kidding. :P]
Hm. I didn’t have that bothering me at all in any way so now I’m curious what the hurtful part(s) is/are..

Oh yeah it will definitely be cheaper. I have a feeling that this is going to be a movie that I’m going to watch multiple times especially if it makes anything like the book. I hope I will change my mind about her because I really don’t want to hate the book lol. I laughed out loud when I read you would take it personally and then put just kidding. I will try to find the review I read and send you the link.

I hope you end up loving James’ books as much as me. He’s definitely a favorite author of mine and an auto buy author for me.
