It’s Monday What Are You Reading?

What I Recently Finished ReadingUnrealistic DreamsThe Afterlife of Walter AugustusMilk and Honey

I finished another 3 books this week. Two of which I just realized were poetry collections. The first book I read was Unrealistic Dreams by Yool Wie. The author messaged me on Goodreads asking if I would be interested in reading his poetry collection and reviewing it. Of course I said yes. I haven’t reviewed it yet but I really enjoyed it. It’s a very positive and uplifting collection of poems. Next up I read The Afterlife of Walter Augustus by Hannah Lynn. If you saw yesterdays 24 Hour Readathon Wrap Up (June 2018) post then you know I read this book during that readathon. It was very slow going for the first half of the book but the last half picked up and I ended up really enjoying it. My review for this will be going up during the blog tour on the 18th. Last up I listened to Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur and unfortunately this didn’t work for me. Maybe it’s because I shouldn’t have listened to it but I didn’t have any connection with any of the poems. I didn’t feel anything. I thought it was just ok.

What I'm Currently ReadingIT stephen

Tome Topple round 6 started on the 29th of June so I have started reading IT by Stephen King again in the hopes that I will actually finish it this time. So far I have only listened to 40 pages of it which puts me almost 300 pages into it but this book is over 1000 pages long. Fingers crossed that I will finally finish this massive book.

What I Plan To Read NextIlluminae

This month I am participating in Kathy’s from Books and Munches monthly challenge Sci-Fi July and I have decided to try and read The Illuminae files trilogy again. On top of everything else I am participating in this month this might prove to be a little ambitious but I am going to try my best. My full TBR will be going up Wednesday.

Credit as always to The Book Date. Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What have you been reading lately? Are you participating in any readathons or challenges? Which ones?

    1. I have a feeling I will if I can actually get through them this time. I started it a couple months ago but didn’t get very far because other books took priority. I have heard of both of those. Are y’all enjoying them?

    1. Thank you!! Are you enjoying it? I’ve heard nothing but good things about it but I’m not sure I will read it. It just doesn’t speak to me. Maybe one day I will read it though.

    1. As of right now not a whole lot is happening and it slow going. I feel like I could have totally done without the first half of the book. As per the usual with King he is very descriptive. Everyone told me the last half of the book is better so 🤞
