I didn’t think I had read a lot this week but when I went to look I realized I have finished 3 books this past week. I finished Number the Stars by Lois Lowry which was part of the Children’s Books Readathon I am participating in this month and I really enjoyed it. You can read my review here. I also finished F*cking Awkward which I thought was a fun read. I haven’t posted my review on my blog yet but if you want to see my thoughts you can read my review on Goodreads here. Last up I read Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! by Mo Willems which was also part of the Children’s Books Readathon and unfortunately I didn’t like this one. I don’t think I am going to be reviewing this one on my blog because I didn’t have a whole lot to say about it but once again you can read my thoughts on Goodreads here.
I am slowly making progress on both of these. Winnie-the-Pooh is another book I am reading as part of the Children’s Books Readathon. It was meant to be read last week. I am listening to the audiobook of it and it’s the complete collection. I am pretty sure I am at least done with the first book but I am not marking it as read until I finish the whole thing. I started UNSUB at the very beginning of the month right before I left on my trip to Tennessee and I didn’t get any of it read while I was gone. Since I’ve been back home I have started back on it and so far I have read 16 chapters. I don’t know what page count or percentage that is because I am listening to it on audiobook and not knowing is driving me crazy for some reason.
Charlotte’s Web and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe are the 2 books that were chosen for week 3 of the Children’s Books Readathon. I read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe back in 2016 so if I don’t manage to get it read this week I will just share my original review of it but I am hoping to be able to read it again to see if my thoughts have changed any. I’ve only ever seen the movie of Charlotte’s Web so I am really looking forward to finally reading the book I just hope it doesn’t disappoint. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is a last minute addition to my TBR for the month. I literally just planned last night to buddy read this with a couple of girls on Twitter. We want be starting it until the 27th because one of the girls is participating in a readathon until then. I am so excited to finally be starting this series and I can’t wait to finally be able to watch the movie.
Credit as always to The Book Date. Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What have you been reading lately? What are your reading plans for the week?Wow I have a lot lined up hopefully I will be able to read everything I want to get read.
You’ve got a busy week ahead! 🙂
