Finally Fall Book Tag

Tag

Hello bookworms!!

Y’all know I am forever behind on book tags but when Ali from The Sunday Feeling tagged me in the Finally Fall Book Tag I had to do it immediately otherwise I probably wouldn’t have gotten to it until next summer and that just want work for this tag so here we are. If you aren’t following Ali you definitely should be. I am not sure who the creator of this tag is so if you know please leave a comment so I can give them credit.

1. In fall, the air is crisp and clear:
Name a book with a vivid setting!

I think Kerri does an amazing job at describing the setting in both of these books that it’s so easy to visualize it and to be completely immersed into the story.

2. Nature is beautiful… but also dying:
Name a book that is beautifully written,
but also deals with a heavy topic like loss or grief

the last song

This book always comes to mind with questions like these. I cried several times while reading this and it truly broke my heart but at the same time made me happy.

3. Fall is back to school season:
Share a non-fiction book that taught you something new.

I don’t think I have an answer for this one because I don’t really read non-fiction but I would like to so any suggestions?

4. In order to keep warm, it’s good to spend some time with the people we love: Name a fictional family/household/friend-group that you’d like to be a part of.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

I mean who wouldn’t want to be a part of the Weasley family. They are one of the best families I have read about and it’s one where the parents are actually present.

5. The colorful leaves are piling up on the ground:
Show us a pile of fall-colored spines!

Going through the books on my shelves I am realizing I have a lot of books with black and white spines and some brightly colored spines nothing that really screams fall to me.

6. Fall is the perfect time for some storytelling by the fireside:
Share a book wherein somebody is telling a story.

Screams You Hear

I read this earlier this year and it’s about a girl recounting what happened to everyone on the island where they lived to the police.

7. The nights are getting darker:
Share a dark, creepy read.

So here’s the thing, I’ve never read a book that is creepy to me. I don’t get scared easily and I actually tend to laugh at “scary” movies because they are always so predictable. I chose these 3 books because I know Stephen Kings books are scary and creepy to some. Misery was slightly disturbing but other than that I wasn’t scared or creeped out or anything. You could also say that Kings books are pretty dark.

8. The days are getting colder:
Name a short, heartwarming read that could warm up
somebody’s cold and rainy day

Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda

I haven’t talked about Simon for a while and it was the first book that came to mind after reading this question. I just absolutely adore this book and the characters and I think it is such a cute and easy read that will leave you happy.

9. Fall (luckily, it’s my favorite season) returns every year:
Name an old favorite that you’d like to return to soon.

Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda

Ok I know I just used this book for the previous question but I have seriously been thinking about rereading this for the 4th time recently. I could easily watch the movie but it just is no where near as good as the book and it didn’t make me feel the same way after I finished watching it.

10. Fall is the perfect time for cozy reading nights:
Share your favorite cozy reading “accessories”!

The only things that are always with me or at least around me is my blanket and my dog  Shelby other than that I don’t really have any accessories.

11. Spread the autumn appreciation and tag some people!

If you’ve already done this tag or if you don’t do tags feel free to ignore this. There’s no obligation for you to do it if you don’t want to.

    1. Yeah I found like 1 or 2 yellow and orange spines they were hidden so I didn’t see them when I looked earlier oops. Yeah my pup is always laying on the couch next to me or on the bed next to my husband. She has to be touching someone lol. Thank you!!
