November TBR

Hello bookworms!!

I keep setting myself ambitious TBRs for some reason and this month is no different. I am participating in a buddy read, readalongs, readathons, and 2 challenges plus I have ARCs I need to get read so yeah very ambitious. Let’s get to the books I am going to be reading.

Reading Challenges

The first reading challenge I am participating in is Kathy’s Remember November Challenge. I participated in OWNtober last month and I think I did really well reading 4 books that I already owned. Remember November focuses on all the goals we set for ourselves at the beginning of the year. I have decided on focusing on all of the challenges I am participating in. A few weeks ago I did an announcement post of sorts saying I was participating and what I was going to be working on but since then I have completed another challenge so I am down to one challenge. I still need to complete the Alphabet Soup Challenge. I only have J, K, Q, and X left and here is what I plan to read for those letters.

I will not be reading The Jungle Book this month because I already have that set up for a buddy read next month. I am hoping to be able to knock out at least 2 of the 3 remaining this month. I will for sure be reading a Quiet Kind of Thunder this month because I am also reading it as part of a readathon.

The next challenge is my own challenge. I don’t think this has been done before but if you know of a challenge like this one please let me know. Anyways last month I read Every Breath by Nicholas Sparks which got me in the mood to read some of his books that I have yet to read. I created this just for myself but if anyone wants to join just use the hashtag #NicholasNovember. I have chosen 5 books to try to read for this this month although I doubt I will get through that many with everything else I hope to read as well. The books I chose for this are.

I have mentioned before that there are a few of his books that I think I have read a long time ago but I cant be sure so I will be reading them just to be sure and some of those books are on this list.

One of the read-a-thons I am participating in this month is Lalathon. This read-a-thon was created by Kayla from Books and Lala and basically you read her favorite books from the 1-9. She posted a video of her 100+ favorite books and you can chose whichever ones you want to read. I made a list of the books I already owned or could get through Scribd and the books I decided on trying to read are.

Realistically I will only get to one maybe 2 of these. We are already 3 days into this read-a-thon and I haven’t even started one of these so I might not get them read during the set week but I still plan on reading some of them at some point this month.

James is hosting a Cozy Mystery read-a-thon this month. The plan is to read the first 4 books in the Renaissance Faire Mystery series. I’ve only been able to get the first 3 books from my library so far but hopefully the last one will be available before the end of the month. For this one everyone who wants to read them can and they can read just 1 of them or all 4 of them and then post their reviews for them.

Buddy Read / Read-a- long

I am buddy reading Dracula with Merphy from YouTube this month. We will be reading this over the course of the entire month pretty much because the plan is to read a chapter a day and check in with each other every Wednesday and Saturday.

I am reading Doctor Sleep as part of Janel’s Stephen King read-a-long over on Instagram. I need to have half of this book read by the 11 for our group discussion and again I have not even started it.

ARCs / Review Copies

I am still trying to catch up on all of the ARCs and review copies that I have gotten. This doesn’t even include the NetGalley books I need to read still. I also have a book that I am Beta Reading for an author so yeah loads to read.

That is my overly ambitious TBR for November. A whopping 24 books which I know I will not be able to read that many books in one month. As always I will also participate in the monthly 24 hour read-a-thon that Lili and Noriko host at the end of every month. Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What are your plans for November?
