Monthly Wrap Up

A Look At How I Did With My 2018 Challenges

Hello bookworms!!

So apparently I lied yesterday because I still have a couple more posts before I have completely wrapped up 2018 so I might be doing a couple of posts each day to catch up on everything. I am pretty sure I did the same thing last year. In 2018 I decided to participate in 3 different challenges and today I am going to be talking about how I did with each challenge. Spoiler alert I only failed at one of them but I was so close to completing it. Lets see which challenge I failed and which ones I completed.

Goodreads

My first challenge for the year was of course the Goodreads Reading Challenge. In 2018 I decided I was going to go for 100 books. I have never read that many books in one year before so I didn’t think I would actually make that goal but I wanted to try. To my surprise I actually reached my goal of 100 books in October. My 100th book was The Pirate’s Booty by Alex Westmore. That left me with 2 months to see how many more books I could get read and I ended the year with 120 books which I still can’t believe I actually did.

The next challenge I participated in was the Alphabet Soup Challenge that is hosted by Escape With Dollycas. I have participated in this challenge for the past 2 years and I didn’t complete it either time. In 2017 I was left with 2 letters and 2018 I was left with 4. I actually had books lined up to read for the missing letters but for whatever reason I just never got around to reading them. Here is what I read and what I missed out on.

A. The Afterlife of Walter Augustus by Hannah Lynn

B. Back to Good by Laura Benson

C. Cinder by Marissa Meyer

D. Divergent by Veronica Roth

E. Echoes by E.F. Rose

F. Father Figure by James J. Cudney

G. The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

H. Heaven is for Real by Todd Burpo

I. It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover

L. Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira

M. Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur

N. Now You Can See by Jessica L. Tate

O. One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid

P. Postcards from France by Megan McNeill Libby

R. Replica by Lauren Oliver

S. Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

T. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

U. The Usurper King by Zeb Haradon

V. The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter pats 1-6 by Jennifer Malone Wright

W. Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo

Y. You by Caroline Kepnes

Z. Zoo 2 by James Patterson and Max DiLallo

pages-read

And the last challenge I participated in was the Pages Read Challenge that is hosted by Book Dragon’s Lair. I chose the shrub level which was 24,000 pages and I finished the year with 32,229 pages read. If I remember correctly this is the first time I actually completed this challenge.

Well that’s all I have for this post. I didn’t participate in many year long challenges last year but I have more than made up for it this year which you will be seeing shortly. I will be posting at least one more time later today so keep an eye out for that. How did you do with your 2018 challenges?
