Hello bookworms!!
Melanie from Meltotheany (who I am pretty sure created the above graphic as well) and Dani from Book Geeks Uncompromised have created the #CatchUpOnClassics read-a-long. There will be 6 read-a-longs of different classics throughout the year as well as an adaptation we can watch. You all know my struggle with classics so I’m hoping that I will stick to their schedule and read all 6 5 and maybe add in a few of my own. I am not going to be including everything in this post so if you want to know all of the exact dates and adaptations click on one of the links above. Here are the books they have planned to read this year.
January A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle
February Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
March Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
September Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier (I will not be joining this month because I have actually already read this book)
October Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury
November Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
I really hope I can get through all of these. I am most nervous about Anna Karenina. Will any of y’all be joining? If you are interested in joining just click on the links for all of the details. Have y’all read any of these?
I would be scared of reading Anna Karenina :O that book is huge and it is a classic so I guess it won’t be an easy ride xD but you can do this :3

When I did the free trial on audible it was 14.95 a month and they gave you 1 credit a month and then you still had to pay for the audiobooks. With scribd I pay 8.99 a month and don’t have to pay anything else.

Ohhh so those $9 gives you unlimited audiobooks? :O

Yes pretty much. I have seen people talk about how if they listen to a lot of audiobooks some of the ones they try to read will say unavailable until a certain day but I’ve personally never had that happen.

Oh wow! This challenge looks interesting 😊👍 I’ll look up the original post too since I’ve been meaning to read some of these classics too. I’ve read Rebecca too and a study in scarlet. And I do want to read at least one Tolstoy this year. However I wonder if I should pick up the abridged version for any of these books.. hmm.. following the language might be difficult too. But let’s give it a shot I guess😊
