The Liebster Award #4

Hello bookworms!!

I was nominated for The Liebster Award by Whitney from Whit Reads Lit. If you aren’t already following her blog head over there and give her a follow.

The Rules:

  • Acknowledge the blog who nominated you and display the award.
  • Answer the 11 questions the blogger gives you.
  • Give 11 random facts about yourself.
  • Nominate 11 blogs.
  • Notify those blogs of the nomination.
  • Give them 11 questions to answer.

Whitney’s Questions:

What standalone book do you wish had a sequel?

I was going through my read books and I apparently read a lot of books that are part of series so this question was a little difficult. I do wish that Bird Box had a sequel though because I was left with so many questions

What is your favorite bookish object purchase?

I love bookish candles and I have several of them as well as bookmarks but I think a bookish purchase that I really love is my Mrs. Potts and Chip Funko Pops.

Who is your favorite romantic pairing in a novel?

This is so difficult to chose because being a romance lover there are so many pairings that I absolutely adore but I guess I will go with Audrey Rose and Thomas from the Stalking Jack the Ripper series.

How do you choose what to read next?

I usually just chose the books that I need to get read for reviews and then I will chose them based on the different challenges I am participating in and after that I just look at my shelf and pick whatever I am in the mood to read.

Do you like to see the movie adaptation of a book first, or read the book first?

I prefer to read the book first but I have been known to watch the adaptation first.

What is your favorite bookstore? (online or physical)

We don’t have any bookstores in the small town where I live so I do pretty much all of my book shopping online at bookoutet.

What is your favorite and least favorite genre?

I read a little bit of everything but my favorite is of course romance and while I wouldn’t say it’s my least favorite exactly I am going to go with sci-fi just because I don’t tend to reach for it but I am branching out.

How long do you normally take to finish a book?

It depends on how long the book is, how much I am into the book, if I’m liking it or not etc. It can be anywhere from a day to several months.

What character would you choose to be your companion on an adventure?

The first person that came to mind was Katniss Everdeen one because she is good with a bow and arrow so we wouldn’t starve and if people were after us she could protect us and I like the actress who played her character.

What is your Hogwarts house/do you feel that it is accurate?

I’ve been a Ravenclaw for a long time but recently I took another online test and it said I was Hufflepuff. I think I am more of a Hufflepuff than a Ravenclaw.

Who would comprise your ultimate girl squad?

Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lawrence, Ellen DeGeneres, Perrie Edwards, hmm I don’t really know lol.

  1. I’m curious to see what quiz you took that said you’re a Hufflepuff. All the quizzes that I’ve taken, including the official Pottermore quiz, say I’m a Gryffindor, which I definitely believe is 100% true.

    1. The official Pottermore quiz say I’m Ravenclaw which I really don’t agree with. I was trying to find the exact link of the quiz I took but the only thing I know for sure is that it was from it told me I was 44.4% Hufflepuff, 33.4% Ravenclaw, 22.2% Gryffindor, and 0% Slytherin.

      1. There is a discount book/gift chain store, a WHSmith (don’t know if you have those in America?), numerous charity shops, a library and then an absolute gem of a store that sells books for £1 and will buy books off you for half that.

Do miss our actual book store, though.

      2. I don’t think we have WHSmith in America. I don’t get books from the library but they stopped doing there monthly library sales so I never think to go in and browse what they have for sale. There are a couple bookstores close to me but they are religious book stores or they sale books that I have no interest in reading. If I drive an hour or so from home I can find a book store like books a million but I seldom ever have the need to do that so I just online shop.

      1. Whenever I get a beautiful candle I always feel bad for burning it, which is weird since that is what they’re meant for. 🙂 But I buy candles that don’t look anything special but smell good and burn those first. 🙂

      2. My favorite candles are bath and body works candles. They have the best scent throw. If I have those I tend to burn them before I burn anything else which is pretty much all the time because I always have a least one.
