Day-A-Thon And 24in48 Read-A-Thon TBR

Hello bookworms!!

Today I am going to be talking about 2 read-a-thons that I am participating in this weekend and what books I am hoping to get read.

Day-A-Thon

The first read-a-thon I am participating in is the Day-A-Thon that Lili and Noriko host the last weekend of every month. Noriko is currently on a blogging hiatus but she is still active on Twitter. This read-a-thon is really laid back. There are no rule the goal is just to read as much as you can in 24 hours. I never read a full 24 hours but I do push myself to read more than I usually would in a day. I always start reading at 8am on Friday morning and end the read-a-thon at 8am Saturday morning so I can start and finish the read-a-thon at the same time Lili does which is 8pm Friday to 8pm Saturday for her. Ok now on to what I hope to read.

I am currently reading The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. As of right now when I am typing this up (3:30 1/24) I am a little over 100 pages in. I will be reading this tonight but I highly doubt I will finish it so whatever I have left I want to finish it. After that I will be buddy reading The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken with one of the hosts of this read-a-thon Lili. I have been meaning to read this for a while now so I am glad we will be reading it. If I manage to finish both of these with time to spare I will probably pick something else up but as of right now I don’t know what that will be.

24in48 Read-A-Thon

The next read-a-thon I will be participating in this weekend is the 24in48 Read-A-Thon. The goal for this read-a-thon is beginning at 12:01am (official timezone is EST) on Saturday morning and running through 11:59pm on Sunday night participants are to read for 24 hours out of that 48-hour period. You can split that up however you like. I have participated in this read-a-thon 3 times now and this will be the 4th time. I always aim to read 24 hours and always fail lol. I definitely don’t think I will reach 24 hours especially since I am participating in two 24 hour read-a-thons back to back but I am going to do my best. Here is what I plan to read.

Of course if I don’t finish one of the books from my Day-A-Thon TBR they will carry over to this one but I am expecting to finish both of those so I chose 2 more books for this. Corrupt by Penelope Douglas is my next Romanceopoly pick and I will be listening to the audiobook for that. Follow You by Richard Parker is my next #JanJamJar pick and it also woks for the Late-A-Thon which is another read-a-thon I have been participating in this month. I am only going to choose 2 books for now because I am a pretty slow reader but if by some miracle I finish both of these in time I will just pull another book out of my jar.
