Book Hauls

January Library & Audiobook Haul

Book Haul

Hello bookworms!!

I have done library hauls before on my blog but sometimes I only borrow like 1 book so I thought I would combine my library hauls with my audiobook hauls since I don’t actually keep any of these books. That being said lets see what books I have borrowed from the library this month and what audiobooks I listened to.

A Study in Scarlet

I only borrowed 1 book from the library this month and that was A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle. As y’all probably know classics tend to be hit or miss for me so I didn’t have high expectations going into this book but I ended up enjoying it way more than I thought I would. If you are interested in my full review you can read it here.

I get all of my audiobooks from Scribd. I started listening to the audiobook of Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy before I had a physical copy of it but I ended up winning a copy of the book as well. I don’t plan on reviewing this book but I did give it 4 stars. What I have been enjoying doing is listening to the audiobook while following along in the actual book which is what I did with A Study in Scarlet. See above for my review. I then listened to A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro which unfortunately I didn’t enjoy as much as I did the original. I thought it was just ok. I do think I will continue on with the series at some point but I am not in any hurry. You can read my review here. My first 5 star book of the year was Rhythm, Chord & Malykhin by Mariana Zapata. This was another book that I really didn’t think I was going to like and I ended up loving it. Read my review here. Next up was Corrupt by Penelope Douglas. I haven’t written my review for this one yet. I really enjoyed this book but it is so problematic and I acknowledge that but I still loved it which is why I haven’t written my review. Last up is another book that I listened to while following along in the book and that was The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. I can’t believe I waited so long to read this book when it has been on my shelf for the longest time. Read my full review here.

Those are all the books I borrowed from the library and listened to on audiobook. Have you read/listened to any of these? What was the last book you borrowed from the library? What was the last book you listened to the audiobook of?
