It’s Monday What Are You Reading?

What I Recently Finished Reading

I finished 3 books this week. 2 of which were rereads. First up was my reread of Illuminae. I have been wanting to reread this for a while now and the rereadathon was the perfect time to do so. This time I listened to the audiobook of it because everybody said they were amazing. While I loved the full cast narration and the background sounds I wasn’t blown away by the audiobook and I preferred my experience actually reading the book. Next up I read The Language of Thorns. The stories were hit or miss for me but overall I enjoyed this collection of fairytale retellings and you can read my full review here. Last up was my reread of The Hunger Games. I listened to the audiobook for this one and again I didn’t really care for the audiobook but I still enjoyed the story.

What I'm Currently Reading

I’ve been buddy reading Never Fade with Reading With Wrin this week. We started it on Wednesday and we planned to read it in a week. We have read 319 pages out of 507 and we will be finishing this one on Wednesday. So far I am enjoying this one more than I did the first one and I actually enjoyed that one. I started my reread of Six of Crows during the rereadathon but I didn’t get to far into it. I am hoping to have this one read by Wednesday as well.

What I Plan To Read Next

I have no clue what I am going to read next but all of these are books I want/need to read as soon as possible.

Credit as always to The Book Date. Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What did you think of them if you have? What have you been reading lately? What are your reading plans for the week?

  1. I have already read The Language of Thorns, The Hunger Games and A Court of Thorns and Roses. I’m planning on finishing A Course so Dark and Lonely, Arrowheart and Queen of Air and Darkness this week, as I want to be ready for the O.W.Ls Magical Readathon.

  2. It’s great to hear that you’re enjoying Never Fade, Misty! I really enjoyed that one, and have yet to read the last book in the trilogy! I’m sorry to hear that the audiobooks for Illuminae and the Hunger Games were a bit underwhelming. I hope the next audiobooks you listen to blow you away! Happy reading, doll! ❤

  3. I’m almost done with Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab and then I’m going to read Enchantée by Gita Trelease. I have a few books on hold at the library that I’m hoping will come in this week so I can read those before the end of the month.
