I know it’s Tuesday but I had to post a cover reveal yesterday and I really didn’t want to miss out on doing my IMWAYR? post so I decided to do it today. Let’s get into what I’ve read, am reading and plan to read next.
I finished 3 books this week all of which I really enjoyed. The first book I finished was The Gemini Connection by Teri Polen. I didn’t really have any expectations going into this one but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Next up I read In The Afterlight by Alexandra Bracken. I also read book 2 in this series in March and both of them were buddy reads with Erin from Reading With Wrin. Obviously we are enjoying this series because we are planning to buddy read the 4th book in April. Lastly I finished A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I just barely fit this in but I’m glad I did because I can count it for Romanceopoly and I also really enjoyed this one.
I haven’t picked this up in 2 weeks because I was focusing on finishing the other books so I am still only 128 pages into this reread. I am hoping to finish this before the 4th because I will be starting a buddy read of another book which I will talk about in just a minute. Also I have had this out from the library for like 2 months now and I just want to be done with it so I can finally start Crooked Kingdom.
I am going to be buddy reading Heir of Doom by Jina S. Bazzar with James or Jay he goes by both names and I can’t seem to pick one and stick to it. Anyway he has a blog This Is My Truth Now and as I am sure you all know by now he is also an author of several amazing books that you should all read if you haven’t already. This will be our first buddy read together and I am so excited about it because I love buddy reading and I’ve always wanted to do a buddy read with him. Our plan is to start it on the 4th and read 100 pages a day so we should finish on the 7th.
Credit as always to The Book Date. Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What did you think of them if you have? What have you been reading lately? What are your reading plans for the week?
