Memes

WWW Wednesday

Hello bookworms!!

After not doing this meme for over a year now I have decided to start it up again. I’ve been doing IMWAYR? posts for a while and I got the urge to switch things up a little. I am going to be doing these posts on Wednesdays from now on or at least until I get the urge to change things up again which I don’t see happening anytime soon. WWW Wednesday was originally hosted by A Daily Rhythm and was revived by Taking on a World of Words.

WWW Wednesday

To take part all you need to do is answer the following questions:

~What are you currently reading?
~What did you recently finish reading?

~What do you think you’ll read next?

~ Currently Reading ~

Kendall

I started this a couple of days ago but didn’t get very far into it. I read the first 6% which is literally the first chapter so I don’t really have an opinion on it yet. I will say that I enjoyed the first chapter.

~ Recently Finished ~

I only finished 2 books this past week. One I loved and one I didn’t. First up was Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. I ended up loving this one just not as much as Illuminae. There was something missing for me. Last up I read Through the Woods by Emily Carroll which unfortunately wasn’t for me. I will be sharing my review for it soon.

The Summer Bash Readathon that’s hosted by Bookish Bash is from May 25 – May 31 and I have decided to participate in that. My TBR for this will be going up on Friday so I’m not going to share that today but I will share the prompts with y’all.

What are you currently reading? What have you recently finished? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?

  1. I am currently reading The guest Book by Sarah Blake. I just finished The Importance of Being Ernest by Oscar Wilde and I’m probably going to read Star Crossed by Minnie Dark next

      1. It’s historical fiction, which I’ve had issues with of late, but it’s not based on true events, so that’s a plus. I’m about a quarter of the way in, and I haven’t gotten any inkling of the plot or story yet. It’s told from three different perspectives, two different eras, which I know is a popular way of telling a story, but I’m tiring of it. The plus is that it’s not revisionist history…it seems true to the era in which it’s based. So far I’m giving it 2.5 stars, but hoping it gets better

      2. Historical fiction tends to be hit or miss for me to begin with add on the multiple POVS and switching between eras I would probably struggle with it. I hope it gets better for you.

  3. This Readathon sounds cool! I’m sorry to have missed the start but I think I could probably join the next one! I’ve heard so much hype around ‘Aurora Rising’, and I’m on the waiting list for my library 🙂
