#SummerBashReadathon TBR

Hello bookworms!!

Bookish Bash is hosting the Summer Bash Readathon from May 25-31. It has been a while since I’ve participated in any of the events they have hosted so when I saw this I decided to give it a try. There are five prompts and I have chosen a different book for each of them except for one which you will understand why in a minute. Lets talk about what I plan to read and how I am kind of cheating.

Read Outside – Honestly I doubt this one will happen but if it does I can go with any of the books from the other prompts.

Flowers/Plants On Cover – The book I have chosen for this isn’t summery at all but I need to read it and it has trees on the cover so I am counting it.

Ronaldo: The Phantom Carrot Snatcher

Set Near Water – I’m going with a book that has been on my TBR for a while. While it is summery I am pretty sure it touches on some hard hitting subjects but I’m not 100% sure.

Contemporary Summer Romance – I had a couple that I could have chosen for this but I wanted to read one of my physical books.

Orange Or Yellow On The Cover – Ok so this is the one that I am technically probably cheating on. The background of the book kind of looks like it has a yellow look to it. I asked my husband and he said its like a yellow/tan color. You can tell me what you think but this is another book I need to read so I’m going to count it. (So in the screenshot of the cover it’s looking more like a tan color but I swear in person it looks a little yellow)

So that’s my TBR for the last week of May. I admit I am kind of in a reading slump so I am hoping that this readathon and these books can pull me out of it but we will see how I do. Are you participating in this readathon? What do you plan to read?

  1. I’m in the middle of The Guest Book by Sarah Blake, which is actually got some redeeming qualities…..if I finish that I will go to something light and frothy!

  2. Gerald’ Game was one of my first Stephen King books I remember borrowing from my high school library, and being told by the librarian I shouldn’t be reading books like this. 🤣🤣 I didn’t listen to her and ended up loving it and haven’t stopped reading King’s books since.
