#Tropeathon Recommendations

Hello bookworms!!

It’s time to do my recommendations post for #Tropeathon. Funnily enough I am pretty sure this is my first ever recommendations post on my blog. I’ve never been one to really pay attention to what tropes pop up in the books I have read so I kind of struggled to come up with what I did. Because I don’t have a whole lot of recommendations for each prompt I will also leave links to some recommendation videos and blog posts from people I follow.

Before we get to my recommendations if you are curious about what Tropeathon is then you should check out our announcement posts here and here.

Ok without further ado here are the few recommendations I have for each promt.

Enemies To Lovers

I have read each of these and ended up loving all of them. I do want to point out that Corrupt by Penelope Douglas is a dark romance so that’s something to be aware of if you’re not into that sort of thing.

The Chosen One

Of course with the Chosen One Trope I have to mention the OG series Harry Potter. These books do have romance but I wouldn’t say it was the main focus of the book. I’m sure most of y’all have probably read these already.

Slow Burn

Any excuse to talk about Simon and I will take it. Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda is one of my all time favorite books and I definitely think everyone should read it. I struggled with whether or not to include Six of Crows because of how the second book ended but I just had to. Then there’s of course The Infernal Devices trilogy.

Forbidden Romance

I apparently don’t read Forbidden romances which I really should fix. I managed to come up with 2 books for this prompt. The first one I enjoyed but it wasn’t a favorite is Kissing Tolstoy. This is a student/teacher romance. Lastly I have Finding Kyler which is a cousin or sibling romance. I have only read the first book in this series and the book ended on a major cliffhanger. While I found the romance weird I was completely hooked and couldn’t stop reading it.

Other Worlds

Each of these books has a relationship between a human and another species and I loved them all.

Alright so those are the recommendations I have for you. I know it’s not a whole lot to choose from so like I mentioned earlier I am going to link y’all to some people who are so much better at this recommendation thing then I am.

First up I have to mention my cohost Michelle. She shared her recommendation post and there are several books I am going to be adding to my TBR for later.

Stephanie who is going to be participating shared a TBR and Recommendations video that I think y’all should check out.

Last up is Jessica from PeaceLoveBooksxo She is my go to for all things romance. I’ve just linked her YouTube channel because she has so many videos talking about her top 5+ of different tropes. She has slow burn recommendations, age gap, and so many others. Just search what you are looking for and I am sure she has a video on it.

That’s all I have for y’all today. I hope I have given you something to work with while deciding your TBRs. Don’t forget to follow @tropeathon on Twitter and use #tropeathon on all social media. I hope y’all will be joining us for the ride.

    1. That’s totally fine. Don’t try to force it you’re meant to enjoy it and not stress over it. As of right now I think we will be doing it possibly every 3 months. We will definitely share the future dates in advance probably in the twitter page.
