Looking Ahead August 2019

TBR

Hello bookworms!!

So we don’t have a whole lot planned for August. My husband has 2 appointments this month but other than that we should have a pretty laid back month. July was a crazy month which you can read all about that here. I did manage to read a lot of books and while I don’t expect to read that same amount this month I do plan to try my best. I haven’t really set a full TBR for this month for some reason. On top of the few books I list here I will also be pulling books from Avid August TBR as well. Anyways here are the main books I want to get to this month.

The Black Prism

I started this last month during #Tropeathon but I wasn’t able to finish it. I listened to 21% of it and I hope to finish it this month.

escaping from houdini

Continuing with #StalkAlong I will be rereading Escaping from Houdini. I enjoyed this the first time around so I am looking forward to the reread however I would say this is my least favorite book so far even though I still gave in 5 stars.

Continuing on with the Stephen King readalongs this month. Instead of reading one of his books we are reading an entire trilogy. The Bill Hodges trilogy to be exact. This should be fun.

Just 5 books this month. Of course I hope to read a lot more than this. Have you read any of these books? What do you plan to read in August?

    1. I know!! Usually we just do 1 a month. Last month we did 2 but one of them was really short and I ended up really enjoying both of them. Normally one King book is enough for me for a month so I hope I’m able to get through all of these and that I actually enjoy them.

  1. I keep telling myself that I have no TBR planned for August, but I just got a whole bunch of highly anticipated books from my library that I’m super excited for, so I guess that’s my TBR. I’ve been in the middle of Stalking Jack the Ripper for months! Everyone keeps on telling me that it’s amazing and I really want to read it, but I stopped because of how bloody and descriptive it is 😂
