The Guilty Reader Book Tag

Hello bookworms!!

I feel like I have done this tag before on my blog but I can’t find it so I am going to do it today since I was tagged by Jenna from Bookmark Your Thoughts. If you aren’t already following Jenna’s blog you are missing out. I love her aesthetic and she does a variety of posts. Thank you so much Jenna for the tag!!

The creator of this tag is Chami from Read Like Wildfire over on YouTube.

1.) Have you ever re-gifted a book that you’ve been given?

I don’t think I have ever re-gifted a book. I do remember a time where I re-gifted this scarf thing because it wasn’t my style at all but I am pretty sure that’s the only time I have ever re-gifted anything.

2.) Have you ever said you’ve read a book when you haven’t?

Nope. When I was younger I didn’t read and I didn’t know anyone who read either so talks of books never came up. Now I still don’t have anyone to talk about books with except for all of you guys but I have never said I’ve read a book when I actually haven’t. I mean I don’t see the point in that because if you say you have read it then who ever you are talking to is going to then proceed to either spoil the book for you or expect you to talk more in depth about it with them.

3.) Have you ever borrowed a book and not returned it?

Not that I can recall. As an adult I am literally on top of returning my books to the library because I don’t want the fines and I have literally freaked out thinking that I had forgotten to return a book but luckily I didn’t. Now I can’t speak for my younger self because I can’t remember that far back lol.

4.) Have you ever read a series out of order?

Not on purpose. I think there was a time where I read a book and then realized it wasn’t the first book in a series but then again I could be making that up. I do know I have bought a book that ended up being the 3rd book in a series and I didn’t have the others.

5.) Have you ever spoiled a book for someone?

Just my husband because he’s never gonna read the book anyways so it doesn’t matter. As for anyone else I don’t think I have. I try to remember to put in my reviews if there’s going to be spoilers but most of the time they are always spoiler free.

6.) Have you ever dogeared a book?

Yes when I was a kid. I didn’t read much back then and when I did read something I didn’t really care. But now as an adult no I don’t dogear books. I hate to have my pages bent.

7.) Have you ever told someone you don’t own a book when you do?

Again not on purpose. I’m sure I have told someone I had a book only to find out that I didn’t but I really thought I did own it.

8.) Have you ever skipped a chapter or a section of a book?

No!! I can’t do this. I am too scared of skipping over something important or just missing out so I read everything.

9.) Have you ever bad mouthed a book you actually liked?

Nope! Again I don’t see the point in doing this. I don’t care what people think of what I read. I read for my enjoyment not theirs.

I Tag:

Anyone who hasn’t done this tag already and wants to do it. Sorry I am not tagging specific people I am being lazy and I also want to try and draft a few more posts tonight.

    1. Yeah I don’t think I could do it purposefully. You know what I just realized I have actually read a series out of order. I completely forgot about it but I did ask the author if it was ok first and she said it was.

      1. Same here. The series I was reading was a children’s book series and the author told me the first book was basically just introducing all of the characters and that I didn’t need to read it to read the 2nd book so luckily that worked out.

  1. This is fun. I read the the outlander series out of order once, but it was because the book store gave me the wrong order. I was so surprised the author missed chunks of information. She didn’t. It was in the book before.
