This Week In Books

My Week In Books 11/4 – 11/10

Hello bookworms!!

I am starting a new weekly post series and it’s called My week In Books. I did not come up with this so it’s not anything new. I usually do IMWAYR? or WWW Wednesday but I wanted to start doing that type of post on Sunday hence the My Week In Books. So basically every Sunday I am going to be telling you what I managed to read during the week, what I am currently reading and what I hope to pick up next. To me Sunday is the end of the week that’s why I wanted to start doing these posts on Sunday.

~Finished Reading~

I finished 3 books this week which is normal for me and I am really happy because hopefully this means I am out of my funk. First I finally finished The Matt Bell book (sorry I am to lazy to type out that long freaking title) and I think overall I liked it. It was a little weird and hard to review but I did my best and hopefully that will be up next week some time. Next up I read Ronaldo: The Vixen Pederson Workshop which is the 4th book in the series. It is being released on the 20th I believe and the author reached out to me asking if I would be interested in reviewing this one since I reviewed the other ones and of course I said yes. My review for this one will go up on release day. And lastly I started my reread of the Harry Potter series. I finished Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone last night and of course I loved it. I’ve never reviewed these books before and honestly if I tried to do a review it would just be of me raving about the books so I’ve decided that for each book I am going to share my favorite and least favorites of different parts of the books so keep an eye out for that.

~Currently Reading~

I’ve been reading both of these along with Harry Potter this week. As of me typing this I am 60 pages into The Outsider by Stephen King which I am reading as part of the Stephen King readalongs I participate in every month. Our first discussion is tomorrow and I am nowhere near the first checkpoint. After I finish this post I plan to pick it up and read until I go to bed and then whatever is left I will finish in the morning. I need to read through page 287 so I still have 227 pages to read. Luckily I am listening to the audiobook while following along in the actual book so I am getting through it faster then I would if I was just reading it. I finally picked up The Devil’s Apprentice. I was sent this by the author for review a couple months ago and I’ve fallen behind. I’m 27% into this book at the moment and hopefully I will finish it sometime in the next week.

~Reading Next~

Honestly I just want to get through as many of the Harry Potter books as I can before the Buzzwordathon starts on the 18th. Most likely I will only be able to get through 2 more but maybe I will be able to at least start on a 3rd one.

That has been my week in books. How has your week in books been? Did we read any of the same books? Are you rereading Harry Potter as well?

    1. Thank you!! I haven’t read that King book yet. I’m sure it will be one of the books we read in our readalong at some point. We will be reading Elevation next month and then I will be buddy reading Doctor Sleep with another member who didn’t get around to reading it when they had the readalong. How many King books have you read? I need to write my review for it. I plan to hopefully post it on release day.

      1. I’ve been saying the past couple of years that I was going to reread them but I never did. For some reason this year worked out for me to reread them and I’m loving it. I will be starting Chamber of Secrets either tonight or tomorrow.
