I give 1 star ratings to books I DNF and I rarely ever DNF a book so I am cheating here and sharing the book I recently decided to DNF and that’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I made it 40% into it and I just couldn’t force myself to read anymore. I was bored and just didn’t care about anything.

Everybody seems to switch from loving Tamlin to loving Rhysand in this book so I am hoping that he will grow on me too since everyone is so adamant in telling me I am going to change my mind once I read this.

  1. Ooo yeah Mark Twain is definitely an acquired taste and can be boring. For a lot of modern readers, classics like his really aren’t worth acquiring due to problematic elements, which is totally fair. I hope you don’t have too many more DNF/1 stars this year! ❤

    1. I am definitely new to classics. I just started really trying to read more of them last year I think and I am slowly working my way through them. I e found some I’ve loved and others that I didn’t. I think I will be skipping his books from now on. Thank you!!

  2. Oh yes, you’ll totally change your mind about both Rhysand and Tamlin 100%. Go read ACOMAF and you’ll see!

I’m taking this tag over someday soon.
