My Thoughts
I have to admit that I watched the Netflix adaptation of this before I ever even owned the book. I really loved the movie which is why when I saw it at Walmart for $6 I had to buy it. Most times the book is usually better than the movie. While I didn’t hate the book I definitely preferred the movie.
Anyways on to my thoughts on the actual book which isn’t all that much because I just thought this book was ok. It was a quick easy read that I could have easily read in one sitting had I not had other things to do. I loved Enola’s character which probably has a lot to do with the fact that I was picturing Millie Bobby Brown the whole time.
I think this is a case of if I had read it first I could have potentially enjoyed it even more but since I watched the movie first and really loved it the book fell a little flat for me however I would definitely be interested in reading on in the series.
I didn’t even realize there was a book. My daughter loves the movie and has been telling me to watch it.

I’ve heard mixed thoughts on the series and although I have loved the one book I’ve read by Nancy I’m hesitant to pick up the series because I really really loved the movie!
