Hello bookworms!!

In February of 2019 I shared an Ongoing Series Post on my blog and I thought it was time to do an update to see if I’ve finished/continued with any of them and if I’ve lowered the number of series I have ongoing? I had 43 ongoing series in 2019 and almost 2 years later I now have 67 series ongoing. That’s not good. This is why I have a goal of continuing/completing 5 series this year because this list is getting out of control. Because I have so many I’m not going to be including pictures because that would take forever. Instead I am going to just be making a list of each of the series with how many books are in the series and how many I have read. I am getting these numbers from Goodreads so the number of books in each series might not be 100% accurate and I am for the most part including novellas as well so here we go.

Of the 43 series I shared in 2019 I have completed 5 of them and decided not continue on with 9 of them so that means 29 series on this list were mentioned in the first post 2 years ago. Of those 29 I have made progress in 6 of them in the past 2 years so there has been a little bit of progress. Since 2019 I have added 38 new series to the list although there are a few included in that 38 that I had left off the previous post because at the time I wasn’t planning on continuing with them but I have since changed my mind.

**Wow that was a lot of work. I mostly did this post for myself but I hope you still enjoyed reading it. Have you read any of these series? Do you have as many ongoing series as I have? **

I laughed when I read about your increase in series. I have so many started, it would take me so long to put together a post like this. I do have a couple I want to work on this year. I hope to catch up on Angela Marson’s Kim Stone series and there are a couple of cozy mysteries that I want to catch up on as well.

I really hope to finish some of them this year and catch up with some others. I’m sure I’ve missed some but I think 60+ is enough right now 😂

Such a great collection. I didn’t realize ‘You’ had another one coming out. I must go check it out! Thank you.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure about continuing ‘You’ because I really didn’t like the book but I thought I would give the second book a try at least. I thought it was a Duology but according to Goodreads theres 3 books out now and it shows one more to come.

How many of these series have all the books published and how many of these series have books that haven’t been published yet?

Umm I don’t actually know I will have to go through them and figure that out.

I really didn’t keep up with all of that when I was going through all of the series because I didn’t really care about if they were finished or not. I will maybe one day go through them and figure it out but it will be a while.

I was just curious.

I will go through them and try to figure it out but it will probably take me a little while because there’s so many lol.

I really like the idea of this post. Now I’m curious how many series I’m into right now.

It was a lot to put together but it’s definitely eye opening.

It is. I need to try it when I can find the time.

keeping track of series you haven’t finished yet is honestly such a good idea!! i’m definitely also guilty of not finishing some series oops HAHAHA. i’m trying to read series when the books are all published so at least i can binge them at one go, but it’s too hard to resist the temptation sometimes when the books sound really good aaaa

LikeLiked by 1 person

Yeah I like being able to binge read all of them at once but sometimes I just can’t wait. I didn’t keep up with them at first so I had to go through all of the books I read when I first did this post and then again to see what I have added. It was a lot of work but eye opening for sure.

Wow, that’s lots of series. Only looking at numbers i feel intimidated I also have read only first of Sherlock Holmes. Maybe we can continue it together.

LikeLiked by 1 person

Yes it definitely is and it’s very intimidating to see them all together like that. That would be awesome. I don’t currently have the books but I can always see if they are available on Scribd or if I can get them from my library.

I should probably actually think about how many ongoing series I have. I’m a series binge reader, so I can’t recall too many, but it’s definitely something to think about.

Good job on keeping up with this. I had a list like this at one point but it *really* needs updating. Also good on you for deciding when not to continue on! I have just as hard a time saying goodbye to series as I do DNF-ing books haha. I always think ‘I’ll get back to it some day…’ lol!

I had to update mine as well. I don’t tend to keep up with it until I plan to make a post and then I have to go through all of the books I’ve read and figure it all out. I’ve gotten pretty good at picking books I know I will enjoy so I very rarely DNF books but I don’t have any issues DNFing them if I’m not into them.
