Updated Ongoing Series

Hello bookworms!!

In February of 2019 I shared an Ongoing Series Post on my blog and I thought it was time to do an update to see if I’ve finished/continued with any of them and if I’ve lowered the number of series I have ongoing? I had 43 ongoing series in 2019 and almost 2 years later I now have 67 series ongoing. That’s not good. This is why I have a goal of continuing/completing 5 series this year because this list is getting out of control. Because I have so many I’m not going to be including pictures because that would take forever. Instead I am going to  just be making a list of each of the series with how many books are in the series and how many I have read. I am getting these numbers from Goodreads so the number of books in each series might not be 100% accurate and I am for the most part including novellas as well so here we go.

Of the 43 series I shared in 2019 I have completed 5 of them and decided not continue on with 9 of them so that means 29 series on this list were mentioned in the first post 2 years ago. Of those 29 I have made progress in 6 of them in the past 2 years so there has been a little bit of progress. Since 2019 I have added 38 new series to the list although there are a few included in that 38 that I had left off the previous post because at the time I wasn’t planning on continuing with them but I have since changed my mind.

Wow that was a lot of work. I mostly did this post for myself but I hope you still enjoyed reading it. Have you read any of these series? Do you have as many ongoing series as I have?

  1. I laughed when I read about your increase in series. I have so many started, it would take me so long to put together a post like this. I do have a couple I want to work on this year. I hope to catch up on Angela Marson’s Kim Stone series and there are a couple of cozy mysteries that I want to catch up on as well.

    1. Thanks. I wasn’t sure about continuing ‘You’ because I really didn’t like the book but I thought I would give the second book a try at least. I thought it was a Duology but according to Goodreads theres 3 books out now and it shows one more to come.

    1. I really didn’t keep up with all of that when I was going through all of the series because I didn’t really care about if they were finished or not. I will maybe one day go through them and figure it out but it will be a while.

  2. keeping track of series you haven’t finished yet is honestly such a good idea!! i’m definitely also guilty of not finishing some series oops HAHAHA. i’m trying to read series when the books are all published so at least i can binge them at one go, but it’s too hard to resist the temptation sometimes when the books sound really good aaaa

    1. Yeah I like being able to binge read all of them at once but sometimes I just can’t wait. I didn’t keep up with them at first so I had to go through all of the books I read when I first did this post and then again to see what I have added. It was a lot of work but eye opening for sure.

    1. Yes it definitely is and it’s very intimidating to see them all together like that. That would be awesome. I don’t currently have the books but I can always see if they are available on Scribd or if I can get them from my library.

  3. Good job on keeping up with this. I had a list like this at one point but it *really* needs updating. Also good on you for deciding when not to continue on! I have just as hard a time saying goodbye to series as I do DNF-ing books haha. I always think ‘I’ll get back to it some day…’ lol!

    1. I had to update mine as well. I don’t tend to keep up with it until I plan to make a post and then I have to go through all of the books I’ve read and figure it all out. I’ve gotten pretty good at picking books I know I will enjoy so I very rarely DNF books but I don’t have any issues DNFing them if I’m not into them.
