This Week In Books

My Week In Books 3/29 – 4/4

Hello bookworms!!

I think my reading mojo is finally back because I was just reading one book after the other this week and I managed to read 4 books. I hope this momentum is here to stay. I don’t really have anything else to update y’all on so lets just get to the books.

~ Recently Finished ~

I started reading The chase by Elle Kennedy last month but I didn’t finish it by the end of the month like I wanted to so it rolled over into this month. Overall I enjoyed this one but I had some issues with it.

I then read Locke & Key vol. 2: Head Games by Joe Hill. I will be reading this whole series with Jonny from Jaunts & Haunts hopefully this month if we can both fit them all into our reading schedule. I’m still enjoying this series but something was lacking in this one for me which caused me to rate it slightly lower than the first one.

I stayed up late Saturday night to read. I do this pretty much every weekend because it helps me read more. Anyways I started My Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West only intending to get through maybe half of it but I ended up staying up until 2am and read the whole thing because I was enjoying it so much I didn’t want to stop reading it.

Another book I didn’t want to stop reading was The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. When I go fishing with my husband I usually just sit in the car and read. I started this book Sunday morning while he was fishing. I had to stop to drive back home but I picked it right back up when I got home and finished it. This book was WOW!! My review for all of these will be coming soon.

~ Currently Reading ~

Like I said I spent the first half of Sunday reading the entirety of The Kite Runner so once I finished that I decided to take a break from reading. I had hoped to start another book later that night but I decided to wait to start something new so right now I’m not currently reading anything.

~ Reading Next ~

I am helping a friend with something for her class today so I will be going to school with her first thing this morning. I’m not sure how long she is going to have to be there so I of course will have a book on hand. I decided to go with an ebook so I didn’t have to lug a book around in my purse all day. If I have some time to waste while waiting for her I will start The Journey to Territory U which is the last book in the Extinction of All Children trilogy by L.J. Epps. I’m looking forward to reading this conclusion to the story. I also am excited to finally be getting around to reading Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson.

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What have you recently finished reading? What do you plan to read next? What are you currently reading?
