Hello bookworms!!
It’s that time again!! It’s time for the 20 Books of Summer Challenge that is hosted by Cathy from 746books. If you’ve never heard of this challenge before it takes place from June 1st to September 1st and you just read 20 books in that amount of time. For all the rules (which are pretty much non existent) click the link above.
I have tried this challenge twice before and both times I failed and I had only set my goal for 10 books. This time I have decided to go for the full 20 because I have been doing really well sticking to my reading plans/TBR for the year so I’m hoping this will actually be the year that I complete this challenge. Pretty much all of the books I have chosen for this TBR are books that I have put on my yearly challenges. I picked the ones I thought I would most likely reach for during this time but because Cathy is so lenient with her rules I might end up switching some for other books on my TBR but as of right now these are the 20 I plan to read.
Summer TBR
I am feeling really confident with the books I have chosen for this challenge but like I mentioned if I am not in the mood for one of these I will switch it out with something else. Are you joining this challenge? What are you planning to read? Don’t forget to sign up if you plan to participate.
I see lots of good books here! Happy reading!✨✨

I’ve read The Husbands Secret and Guernsey. Love love Guernsey. I love much of Moriarty’s work and 8 think this was one that I loved…

This sounds so tempting, but 20 books is a lot, I don’t know if I could manage it.

You don’t have to read 20 books. You can set it for 15 books or 10 or just whatever you want to try and shoot for.

Good luck! I’m joining again this year but only listing 10 and the other 10 I will mood read pick!

That’s a great way to go about it. I probably should have done that but I feel like the ones I picked are going to be ones I will reach for during this time of year.

I’m sure it will be fine 🙂 I’ve turned into a huge mood reader so am interested 1 day and not the next so I’m hoping I can do at least read the 10 I’ve put!!!

I’ve always been a TBR kind of girl except last year I didn’t set any TBRs. Sometimes I will pick a book but once it’s time to read it I won’t be in the mood to read it so if that happens I will just pick something else.

I’m struggling because I’ve always written a monthly tbr and 2021 hit and I just can’t do it anymore 😪

That’s kind of what happened to me in 2020. I have always set a monthly TBR but I just wasn’t feeling it so I just pretty much read what I wanted to for the whole year and then 2021 I went back to the TBRs. I guess I just needed a little break from set TBRs.

I think I do too!

Oh I didn’t know the sign up was already live! I’m definitely joining again this year… Great TBR! I’ve enjoyed multiple of these including Only Mostly Devastated, Vicious, The Husband’s Secret, The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society and The Last Time I Lied. I hope you will enjoy all of these and good luck!

She just posted it yesterday. She shared it early because people were already sharing their TBRs. Thank you I hope I end up enjoying all of them. Good luck and happy reading to you!!

Is this time of year already? My goodness, how fast time flies!
Hmmm… I might participate in the challenge, because I am in the mood for some ‘summer reads’ right now!
You have lots of great books there, Misty! Good luck with the challenge!

You have quite an eclectic TBR, Misty. I am working on mine this week. My goal is always to try and read summery books, as many from my backlist as possible. Good Luck.

Thank you!! Can’t wait to see what you pick. I don’t really read books based on the season but I did pick some books that I think will be cutesy easy reads for summer.

I have so many summery books and I usually read them in Florida, but with not going this year, I can read them for this challenge instead.

Midnight Sun was such a challenge in itself, I don’t know why it is longer then Twilight?! Hah, I enjoyed the end bit of it, but it rambles on a lot. You have lots of fun books on your list so I hope you manage to get through them all.
