This Week In Books

My Week In Books 5/3 – 5/9

Hello bookworms!!

This week was a slow reading week for me. I only managed to finish 1 book but I am in the middle of several others. My mother in law had her follow up appointment on Friday and it was good news. The lymph nodes came back negative for cancer and the tumor that the doctor removed was really small so she doesn’t have to go back to him for 6 months. She has an appointment on Tuesday to meet with the oncologist to see when she’s going to do chemo/radiation. Now lets get to the books since that is what y’all are here for.

~ Recently Finished ~

Hometown Girl

The only book I finished this week was Hometown Girl by Courtney Walsh. I went into the book completely blind but I ended up enjoying it. Hopefully I will have my review up soon for this one.

~ Currently Reading ~

I’ve made little progress in Jukebox Hero by Jason Stuart. I’m only 113 pages into this 354 page book. I’ve been struggling to get through this one but at the same time I’m kind of intrigued by the story which is why I continue to read it but I have been considering DNFing it but it was sent to me by the author so I really want to try and get through it. I started Two by Two by Nicholas Sparks and I am 81 pages into this 485 page book. I’m not to far into this one but I already have some strong negative feelings for one character who I am pretty sure you are not meant to like. Lastly I’ve started Lisey’s Story by Stephen King. I’m only 60 pages into this 513 page book and honestly I’m a little confused but intrigued.

~ Reading Next ~

I still pretty much have my entire May TBR to read but I will most likely pick up one of these next. I’m pretty sure they are all romances so that’s good.

What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What are you planning to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?

  1. Wonderful news about your MIL! I was able to get some more reading in over the past week, but that’s because I spent time at an airport and on two flights. Perfect reading time.
