TBR

June TBR

TBR

Hello bookworms!!

It is time to share my June TBR and as always it’s an ambitious TBR. June 1st was the start of the 20 Books of Summer challenge as well as the Summer NetGalley Challenge and I am participating in both of these over the summer so I will of course be reading some books off of both lists but I also have so many other books I want to try and read so yeah this is very ambitious. Last months planned TBR didn’t go to plan so lets hope I can do better this month at sticking to the TBR. Anyways enough blabbing here are all of the books I hope to read in June.

Clockwork Angel – Erin and I are continuing on with our monthly buddy reads. It was my turn to pick a book and I decided to pick one that I have actually already read and loved. Erin hasn’t read it yet so I am excited to read this along with her and talk about it. If Erin likes this one we will continue on with the next book so I can potentially be rereading this entire trilogy this month.

The Dark Half – This months #KeeperofKing readalong book is The Dark Half. If you don’t know every month I read a Stephen King book and I have been doing this now for probably like 2 years at this point and I am loving it even if I don’t love all of his books.

Black Lace – This months pick for the Swoon Sisters Book Club is Black Lace by Beverly Jenkins. This book club was started at the beginning of the year by Nicole and Daijah and we read a romance every month. So far I have been able to read each months pick and I am hoping to continue that. I don’t know anything about Black Lace but I think it’s a historical romance but I’m not 100% sure but I am looking forward to reading it.

Two by Two – This book is a carry over from May and I am currently 151 pages into it. I am enjoying it but May was pretty much a mood reading month so I was getting through TBR books a little slower than usual. This book will fulfill the prompt “title contains a number” for the Bookbloggers 2021 Fiction Reading Challenge as well as the prompt “double word” for What’s in a Name challenge.

The Passage – A few of the ladies in the #KeeperofKing group are going to be reading this trilogy over the next 3 months and since I added it to my TBR in 2019 and forgot about it I decided to join them in reading this one this month. I don’t know anything about this book but again I am excited to read it.

Sweet Tooth vol. 1-6 – When I saw that this graphic novel series is getting an adaptation on Netflix I knew I had to read it soon. I currently have the first 3 volumes out from the library and I am hoping to get the final 3 and read the entire series so I can watch the movie.

Pumpkinheads – I just happened to see this at the library one day when I was returning something and picking up something I had on hold and I’ve been wanting to read it since it came out so I of course had to check it out as well.

The Wrong Kind of Love – This is the next book I am reading off of my NetGalley list. I am just now realizing that I only added one NetGalley book to my TBR this month so if by some miracle I am able to fit in another one I will otherwise I will end up failing at the Summer NetGalley Challenge.

Queen of Nothing – This book is on my 21 books in 2021 and it will also fulfill the prompt for the Buzzwordathon which is name/title.

Only Mostly Devastated – This book is on my 21 books to read in 2021 list.

Lucky in Love – This is another book on my 21 books to read in 2021 list.

The Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society – This is also on the 21 books to read in 2021 list.

Ok I am going to stop there but there are more books I hope to read. 5 of these books are on my 20 books of summer list and 1 of those is on my Summer NetGalley list. Hopefully I can read all of these and maybe more but we will see how this month goes.

  1. Wow! You are going to read The Passage!! I am so excited for you, Misty. I tried to read this a couple of years ago, the with so many characters involved, I got confused 🤣 Highly recommend you take notes especially the characters’ names as you go 🙂
Keen to hear your thoughts once you’ve finished. Good luck!

    1. Yeah I added it to my TBR in 2019 apparently and forgot about it so when I was invited to read it with a group I decided to go ahead and give it a go.

I completely agree there are a lot of characters and it’s hard to keep up with. I’m about 30% into it now and I’m really enjoying it. I’m listening to the audiobook while following along in the book and that has helped.
