Books I Have On Preorder

Hello bookworms!!

In July of last year I did a Books I Have On Preorder post and I thought I would do it again this year. As I mentioned in last years post I don’t preorder books very often however there are 2 authors I tend to preorder their books every year and they are on the list this year as well. Also once again I have preordered 3 books so without further delay here are the books I have preordered this year.

The Wish

1996 was the year that changed everything for Maggie Dawes. Sent away at sixteen to live with an aunt she barely knew in Ocracoke, a remote village on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, she could think only of the friends and family she left behind . . . until she meets Bryce Trickett, one of the few teenagers on the island. Handsome, genuine, and newly admitted to West Point, Bryce gradually shows her how much there is to love about the wind-swept beach town—and introduces her to photography, a passion that will define the rest of her life.

By 2019, Maggie is a renowned travel photographer. She splits her time between running a successful gallery in New York and photographing remote locations around the world. But this year she is unexpectedly grounded over Christmas, struggling to come to terms with a sobering medical diagnosis. Increasingly dependent on a young assistant, she finds herself becoming close to him.

As they count down the last days of the season together, she begins to tell him the story of another Christmas, decades earlier—and the love that set her on a course she never could have imagined.

Yep Nicholas Sparks is of course on my preorder list. I’m sure you are all tired of hearing this at this point but Nicholas Sparks is my all time favorite author and I own every single book he has written. I haven’t read all of them yet but I am getting there. I some how missed the announcement of this release but you better believe once I saw it I ordered it. It is scheduled to be released in September.

Kingdom of the Cursed

From #1 New York Times bestselling author of Stalking Jack the Ripper Kerri Maniscalco comes the sizzling, sweepingly romantic sequel to Kingdom of the Wicked!

One sister.
Two sinful princes.
Infinite deception with a side of revenge…Welcome to Hell.

After selling her soul to become Queen of the Wicked, Emilia travels to the Seven Circles with the enigmatic Prince of Wrath, where she’s introduced to a seductive world of vice.

She vows to do whatever it takes to avenge her beloved sister, Vittoria…even if that means accepting the hand of the Prince of Pride, the king of demons.

The first rule in the court of the Wicked? Trust no one. With back-stabbing princes, luxurious palaces, mysterious party invitations, and conflicting clues about who really killed her twin, Emilia finds herself more alone than ever before. Can she even trust Wrath, her one-time ally in the mortal world…or is he keeping dangerous secrets about his true nature?

Emilia will be tested in every way as she seeks a series of magical objects that will unlock the clues of her past and the answers she craves…

At this point I think it’s safe to say that Kerri Maniscalco is a favorite author of mine as well because I have loved everything she has written so far. Both Kerri and Nicholas were on this list last year and if they release a book every year I will most likely preorder it. This book is scheduled to be released in October.

Rule of Wolves

Face your demons… or feed them.

The dashing young king, Nikolai Lantsov, has always had a gift for the impossible. No one knows what he endured in his country’s bloody civil war–and he intends to keep it that way. Now, as enemies gather at his weakened borders, Nikolai must find a way to refill Ravka’s coffers, forge new alliances, and stop a rising threat to the once-great Grisha Army.

Yet with every day a dark magic within him grows stronger, threatening to destroy all he has built. With the help of a young monk and a legendary Grisha general, Nikolai will journey to the places in Ravka where the deepest magic survives to vanquish the terrible legacy inside him. He will risk everything to save his country and himself. But some secrets aren’t meant to stay buried–and some wounds aren’t meant to heal.

First I just want to say that the synopsis that I shared is for the first book because I don’t want to spoil anything for myself or anyone else who hasn’t read the first book yet. I know this book has already been released but I am still waiting on my copy. I preordered this book from Beacon Book Box. The box includes both King of Scars and Rule of Wolves and they will both be signed as well as some bookish goodies. Because of all the shipping delays caused by covid the shipping for this one was pushed to mid July so yeah. It’s a bummer but I totally understand that it was unavoidable.

That’s all of the books I have preordered this year. Did you preorder any of these? What books have you preordered this year? Do you even preorder books?

    1. I’m so excited for Kingdom of the Cursed. She said it’s her most romance heavy book to date and I am totally here for that. I’ve read everything except for this duology and the possible 3 book in the six of crows.
