Mini Reviews: The Secret Note & Tangled Threat Books 7 & 8 Of #20BooksofSummer

The Secret Note

The Secret Note by Lauren Rowe

***.5 (3.5 stars)

This was a short quick read that overall I ended up enjoying. It’s pretty steamy and funny at times. It is a little insta lovey but that didn’t bother me. The only complaint I have about it is that in the end it became a little repetitive. I get why the not was included but I didn’t need to read it 4 different times. Also I wish it would have been longer. I would have liked to get to know theses characters a little more.

Tangled Threat

Tangled Threat by Heather Graham

Thanks to NetGalley for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This book is a romantic suspense. I feel like there was way more of the romance than the suspense in this one. To me the romance which by the way is a second chance romance which I love, is the main focus of this book. There wasn’t enough of the investigation included and what was included didn’t ever point to who the bad guy was. Like I still don’t know how they figured out who it was. I will say I guessed half of the reveal early on but the other part was a complete surprise to me. I totally wasn’t expecting it. Overall this was a good read but it could have been better.
