This weeks reading was so much better than last week. I finished three books and made progress in others. I don’t really have anything else to update y’all on so lets just jump straight into the books shall we.
~ Recently Finished ~
I started the week off finishing this months #KeeperofKing book which was Bag of Bones by Stephen King. I was really enjoying this book the whole time I was reading it but once things were revealed I was not to happy with it. I didn’t like where King took this book. I then finished my buddy read of City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare and I really enjoyed it and I am looking forward to jumping right into the next book. Lastly I finished The Lost Wife by Anna Mansell. I am torn on this book. On one hand I really enjoyed it but there were some things that I really didn’t enjoy but it had me hooked from the very beginning so you see my dilemma.
~ Currently Reading ~
I am still making my way through The Twelve by Justin Cronin which is yet another buddy/group read. I am now 414 pages into it and I am still really enjoying it despite having issues keeping up with all of the characters and the timeline. I’m also slowly working my way through The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty. I’m about halfway through it now and I am enjoying it but the multiple POVs is making it a little difficult for me to read.
~ Reading Next ~
These are the 5 books that are left on my TBR for this month. I will be starting Serpent & Dove tomorrow while I am waiting on my mother in law to get her treatment. I will also be starting Maggie Dove because I am on the blog tour for this book on the 3rd and I will be reading The Takeover for The Swoon Sisters Book Club because the live shows are generally the first Monday of the month so those three are for sure my next reads. Unfortunately I don’t think I am going to be able to fit in Midnight Sun or Vicious this month but hopefully I will still be able to get them in some time this year.
What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?
