This Week In Books

My Week In Books 10/11 – 10/17

Hello bookworms!!

I don’t have much to update y’all on this week. My mother in law finished another week of radiation and while she’s been getting nauseous she’s still been doing really well. This week will be her last week of radiation. After this she just has to continue doing the maintenance chemo every 3 weeks. As for my reading I managed to read 3 books this week which is a pretty typical week for me so I am happy with that.

~ Recently Finished ~

The first book I finished this week was City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare which I am buddy reading with Erin. I am sure y’all are tired of hearing me say the same thing about each of the books in this series but I am still enjoying it but this series has frustrated me more than any book ever has before. I then finished Thinner by Stephen King which was this months #KeeperofKing group read. I did enjoy this book but it didn’t blow me away. Last but not least I read Infinity Son by Adam Silvera. Umm…I’m not really sure what to say about this one yet. I think I liked it but at the same time I think I didn’t like it. I don’t know I need to make up my mind. I think I liked it enough to at least want to read the next book.

~ Currently Reading ~

Interview with the Vampire

I just started this last night and only managed 17 pages so I don’t have an opinion on it so far. I am buddy reading this with a group on Instagram and I am already behind on it so I really need to catch up.

~ Reading Next ~

Erin and I will be continuing on with the next book in The Mortal Instrument series. Next up is City of Lost Souls. I still have 12 books on my Tropeathon TBR left to read so I will be picking from any of those but most likely I will pick up Shadow of the Fox next and then Lock Every Door because those are the ones I am in the mood for right now.

What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?

  1. So happy to hear she’s wrapping up the radiation. I expect she’ll probably feel a bit better with just the chemo to contend with. Hope you enjoy Interview With the Vampire. I’ve been wanting to reread that series!

      1. Thank you!! I’m beta reading a book for an author and it’s due back by Friday. That’s the only one that really necessary since I agreed to beta read it. The other ones are buddy/group reads I’ve fallen behind on.
