This Week In Books

My Week In Books 10/18 – 10/24

Hello bookworms!!

This weeks reading was not so good. On top of having to take my mother in law to her appointments everyday I had a couple of appointments myself and my husband had an appointment plus I had a day where I was felling really sick for most of the day so while I got some reading in I didn’t finish many books. In fact I only finished 1 book this week and that was a book I was beta reading for an author. This week will hopefully be a slower week because my mother in law finished her radiation treatments last week. YAY!! Anyways here is a look at my week in reading.

~ Recently Finished ~

I beta read Sleigh Bell Tower by James J Cudney this week. This is the 8th book in the Braxton Campus Mysteries series and I of course enjoyed it. This isn’t released yet which is why I didn’t share a picture of the cover because that hasn’t been released yet either. I definitely recommend you read this series if you haven’t already.

~ Currently Reading ~

I am buddy reading Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice with a group of people on Instagram and I feel so horrible because I should have had this finished today but as mentioned above life happened and I didn’t read as much as I would have liked. Luckily everyone in the group was ok with postponing our discussion until next week. I’m a little over halfway through it right now and I am enjoying it but I have to say I am not the biggest fan of the way the story is told. It’s told in an interview format and it’s not 100% working for me but I am enjoying it overall. I’m also reading Long Shot by Kennedy Ryan and I am 33% into this one. This isn’t what I was expecting at all. I was expecting a cute romance and that is not what I’m getting. At least not yet. I’m pretty sure I know how it’s going to end but right now it’s a little tough to read.

~ Reading Next ~

I got both of these books from the library and I am running out of time on Lock Every Door so I really need to get that one read asap. I also really want to get Survive the Night read because it is the group read for Tropeathon. I would also like to get another book or 2 read for Tropeathon but we will see what happens.

What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?

  1. Long Shot is definitely not a sweet romance. I have wanted to read the next book in that series for a while now, but boy did that first book do a number on me. For sure a tough read. I got Survive the Night read and really enjoyed it! Lock Every Door has been on my TBR for a while now. Hopefully I’ll get to it at some point.
