End Of The Year Book Tag

Tag

Hello bookworms!!

I’ve been seeing this tag floating around some already and I decided to go ahead and do it. I’ve been doing this tag every year since 2017 and it has become a tradition at this point. You can see what my answers were for the previous years here(2020), here(2019), here(2018) and here(2017).I usually wait for someone to tag me but I wanted to post this post a little earlier than I usually do so I am doing it this year without being tagged. This tag was originally created by Ariel Bissett over on YouTube. I’m not going to tag anyone today because I know a lot of people do this tag every year and I can’t remember who has already done it and who hasn’t so if you haven’t done this tag yet and you want to then this is your reminder to do it. Please link back to a specific post of mine because I would love to see your answers to these questions. Lets get to those questions now shall we.

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

Survive the Night

I started reading this book in October. I picked it up once and got 82 pages into it and haven’t picked it up since. I would love to finish this one seeing as how it was supposed to be the group read for Tropeathon. Is it bad when you don’t even finish the group read for your own readathon on time?

Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

Nope! This answer is the same every year. I never really read books based on the season however, In October and December I have been known to read books that are Halloween/Christmas themed but I don’t really read a specific book every year for either of those times.

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

I don’t really keep up with new releases all that much so I can’t tell you if there is a book that hasn’t been released yet that I still want to read. I can say that I still need to read The Wish by Nicholas Sparks and Kingdom of the Cursed by Kerri Maniscalo. Both of these were released recently but I haven’t been able to fit them into my TBR yet. I am planning on reading them in November though so I am really looking forward to that.

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

I am buddy reading The Stand by Stephen King this month. This book is massive and I’ve already fallen behind on reading it so I will be very happy if I am able to finish this one before the end of the year. Winter by Marissa Meyer is a book I plan to read in December. I’ve been wanting to make some progress in ongoing series this year and once I finish this book I will only have one more left to read. Last but not least is The Inevitable Collision of Birdie & Bash by Candace Ganger. This is on my TBR for November and as I mentioned in my TBR post I did try reading this before so I would really like to finally read this all the way through.

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favorite of the year?

Ok so I am fully expecting to love The Wish and Kingdom of the Cursed so if in fact I do love them that want be much of a shock to me. If I end up loving The Stand like most of the people in the #KeeperofKing group I participate in that will shock me. King is hit or miss for me and I tend to prefer his shorter books. I’m only a little over 100 pages into this 1500 page book but so far I’m not hating it.

Have you already started making reading plans for 2022?

Nope!! I will probably wait until the last minute to start making any reading plans for 2022. The only thing I know for a fact is that I will be setting my reading goal for 100 books because I have been doing that ever since 2018 when I read 100+ books for the first time ever. Beyond that I have no idea.

I hope you enjoyed this post and don’t forget to link to a specific post of mine if you decide to do this tag because I would love to see your answers.
