This Week In Books

My Week In Books 11/8 – 11/14

Hello bookworms!!

This week was better than last week for the most part. My husband finally got a rental car but he did have to fight with that for a little while and then he had to fight to get an extension but in the end that all worked out. His truck is now at the collision repair shop and he’s hoping they don’t end up having to total it because he loves his truck. Aside from that there wasn’t a whole lot going on this week. I did have to drive my mother in law to an appointment on Wednesday and I had to get a COVID test done the same day. Don’t worry it was negative I just had to get it done because I have a surgery scheduled for Wednesday and that’s mandatory now. I will say I absolutely hated that test. As for my reading it has been another slow reading week. I did manage to finish one book this week so that’s progress.

~ Recently Finished ~

Kingdom of the Cursed

This book consumed me this week. I’m surprised I managed to read anything else because all I wanted to do was read this. I’m so glad I was finally able to read it because I ended up loving it like I knew I would. I need the next book like now.

~ Currently Reading ~

So like I mentioned above Kingdom of the Cursed consumed me this week so I didn’t read any of Survive the Night by Riley Sager. I’ve still only managed 82 pages. I really need to get this read because I am eventually going to have to return it to the library. I completely forgot about my buddy read of The City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare until the day we were supposed to discuss this weeks chapters but luckily I wasn’t the only one behind this week so I was able to read it Friday night and catch up. I’m now 375 pages into this one and I just want it to be over with. We will be finishing this one this week. I feel so bad that I fell behind on The Stand by Stephen King but I am making slow progress in it. I’m currently 274 pages into this one and I’m really enjoying it. Lastly I started The Inevitable Collision of Birdie and Bash by Candace Ganger Saturday Night but I only got 4% into it so I don’t have an opinion yet.

~ Reading Next ~

These are the last 4 books on my November TBR that I still need to get to and the next one will for sure be The Wish by Nicholas Sparks. After that I don’t know which one I will be in the mood to read.

What did you recently finish reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?
