Hello bookworms!!
In my last post I mentioned I was going in for surgery. I have since had the surgery and all went well. The doctor had called me in some strong pain meds so I was expecting to be in a lot of pain but I haven’t really had any pain. I’m not going to get into the details but I’ve been stressing out a little bit because in the paper that I was sent home with I was told to contact the doctor if something occurred and I feel like it is occurring but of course it started on Saturday when doctor’s offices are closed. I feel perfectly fine but I have sent the Dr. a message in the hopes that I will hear back from her first thing this morning but we shall see. Other than that, all’s been good. I haven’t read very much this week. Honestly, I have spent most of the week wrapped up in a blanket resting and rewatching NCIS. I did make a little bit of progress though so that’s what I am going to show y’all today.
~ Recently Finished ~
Another week where I only finished one book. I finished my buddy read with Erin of City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare. I don’t really know what to say about this book that I haven’t already said a hundred times. I’m enjoying it enough to want to continue it but the author definitely drug this series out. I am so glad we are starting on the last book because I am so ready for it to be over with.
~ Currently Reading ~
I ended up having to return Survive the Night by Riley Sager to the library before I was able to finish it so for now, I have just added it back to my TBR. I made a little bit of progress in The Stand by Stephen King since last weeks post but that was before the surgery. I haven’t picked it up again since probably Monday. I’m currently 360 pages into it which is a quarter of the way through and I am really enjoying it. I was worried that the sheer size of it would keep me from enjoying it but that hasn’t been the case. I did make some progress in The Inevitable Collision of Birdie and Bash by Candace Ganger. The first time I picked this up back in 2018 I only made it 11% into it but I am happy to say that I am now 74% into it so I will finally be finishing this one and very soon.
~ Reading Next ~
This section is still the exact same as last week. This whole surgery has thrown off my reading this month. I’ve only finished 2 books this month but I’m hoping I can get a couple more read before the end of the month.
What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?

I hope all does well with your health. I love your upcoming reads. I so want to read The Wish and am going to have to break down and buy it because it is a 6 month wait at the library. Enjoy, Misty.

Thank you!! I finally heard back from the doctors office today and have an appointment scheduled for Wednesday morning. I’m excited for all of them. I don’t think I will be able to get to all of them this month but I’m going to try. I preorder all of his books now. Thank you!!
