Mini Reviews: City Of Fallen Angels, Thinner & Infinity Son

City of Fallen Angels

City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare

***.5 (3.5 stars)

I am going to say this now. This review is going to suck. I have put off writing it way to long and honestly I don’t have anything new to say about it that I haven’t already said a million times about 1 of the books in this series already. I am enjoying each of the books enough to want to continue on but I feel like the author has drug out this series. I think it would have been better as a trilogy. There is so much unneeded drama and I am just over everything at this point.

Thinner

Thinner by Richard Bachman

**** (4 stars)

I ended up really loving everything about this book but the ending left me frustrated. The ending for this one was actually a good ending the problem I had with it was that I wanted more. I wanted to find out what happened after the events of the ending. I felt like it ended abruptly but like I said at the same time it was a good ending. I know I don’t make any sense but that’s how I felt.

Infinity Son

Infinity Son by Adam Silvera

***.5 (3.5 stars)

So, I was hesitant going into this book because I have heard pretty much nothing but negative things about it. Luckily, I ended up liking it more than I thought I would but I did still have some issues with it. Overall I enjoyed reading this. I never felt like I was getting too much information at once and I never felt confused by the magic system. My issue with this book is that it felt like it was trying hard not to be a typical fantasy book and it just didn’t quite work for me. I don’t know how to explain it any other way. I definitely want to read the next book in the series.
