Hello bookworms!!
Last week I mentioned that after my surgery I was having something happen that I was told to contact the doctor about and I was finally able to get in to see the doctor on Wednesday and it turned out everything was fine thankfully. Surgery and recovery went really well. I didn’t have any pain whatsoever which is great because I am kind of a baby when it comes to pain. I have a follow up phone call with my doctor on Tuesday and after that I should be cleared to go back to normal. I wasn’t allowed to lift over 15 pounds so that meant I pretty much had to stay at home unless my husband was with me because I couldn’t get my wheelchair in and out of the car on my own. I’ve been doing a little bit of reading this week but not a whole lot. Honestly this whole surgery has thrown off my entire November reading for some reason. I only finished 1 book this week but I did make progress in another one.
~ Recently Finished ~
I have finally managed to finish The Inevitable Collision of Birdie and Bash by Candace Ganger. I did end up enjoying this book but not as much as I was expecting to. A lot of people hyped this book for me. Every time I mentioned it on my blog someone would comment saying I needed to read this one. I understand why but I think that all that hype caused me to have way to high of expectations and it didn’t quite reach them. Don’t get me wrong I still really enjoyed it overall.
~ Currently Reading ~
I didn’t read anymore of The Stand by Stephen King this week so I am still only 360 pages into it. Hopefully I will be picking this one back up this week. I did finally start The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune this week and I am currently 49% into it and I’m enjoying it. Again, this is one of those instances where it has been hyped and as of right now, I am enjoying it and I think it’s cute but I’m not loving it as much as I expected to.
~ Reading Next ~
I haven’t even started putting together my December TBR yet so I am going to leave these 3 books here because I would like to read all of them before the end of the year.
What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?
I’m glad you are doing better and that recovery is going well. I understand how hard it is when we are limited, but proper healing will be worth it. Hand in there.
