This Week In Books

My Week In Books 11/29 – 12/5

Hello bookworms!!

This week I have had a pretty average week of reading for me which I am really happy with considering all of November I read 1 book each week. This week I finished 3 books and made some progress in another one. I did celebrate my birthday this week on December 2 and that turned out to be a really good day. I didn’t really do anything but all of the birthday wishes from everyone online and my friends and family made my day so thank you to everyone who reached out to me.

~ Recently Finished ~

The last book I finished in November was The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. In my last My Week In Books post I said I thought it was really good and cute but I felt it was overhyped. Now that I have finished the book I no longer think it was overhyped. I loved everything about it. Once December rolled around I wanted to start working in some Christmas books and I started with Let It Snow by Cassie Cross. This was a short quick read that I thought was really cute. I then read The Christmas Shoes by Donna VanLiere Saturday night. Lets just say I am surprised I didn’t wake my husband up with all the crying I was doing. This was another short quick read that is heartbreaking.

~ Currently Reading ~

Yes I am still making my way through The Stand by Stephen King. I have finally made some progress in it after a couple of weeks of barely making any. I am now 708 pages into it which is right at the halfway point and I am still really enjoying it. I’ve also started my buddy read of City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare with Erin. This is the final book in The Mortal Instruments series and I have to say I am glad we are finally coming to the end. Also this book has had the best start of all of the books since the first one. Normally not all that much happens until the end of the books but we are 5 chapters in and so much has happened already.

~ Reading Next ~ Cycle of the Werewolf

I haven’t had the chance to share my December TBR yet (it’s going up tomorrow) but I didn’t want to leave this blank again so this is a little spoiler of what I plan to read. This months #KeeperofKing group read is Cycle of the Werewolf by Stephen King. This is one of his short books and the discussion for it is on the 12th so I need to get it read soon.

What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?

    1. Thank you so much Teri!! Me too!! I definitely want to read more books by Klune. So far I’m really enjoying it. The only thing that I’m not completely on board with yet is the supernatural aspect but I’m hoping by the time I finish the book I will have changed my mind.
