Hello bookworms!!
I was going back and forth on whether or not I wanted to do this post this week because there isn’t really much of an update, but I decided I wanted to do it anyways. I did manage to finish one book so that’s some progress. I shared a post earlier today and I gave an update on how I’m feeling. If you didn’t know on the 3rd, I tested positive for COVID. Anyways I scheduled that post a couple days early, so I have another little update for y’all today. I still have a cough that refuses to go away but other than that I am better. I’ve finally gotten my energy back which is great because it has been a while since I’ve felt like doing anything besides watching YouTube videos. I am so ready to get back to blogging and reading and working on my planner and just everything. Now that I am better, I can start sharing my end of year posts as well as all of the beginning of the year posts. I’ve fallen behind thanks to COVID but better late than never I guess.
~ Recently Finished ~
So far in January I have only managed to finish 1 book. I finished my buddy read of The Burning World by Isaac Marion which I was buddy reading with Jonny. Let’s just say I definitely could have picked a better book to start the year off with.
~ Currently Reading ~
I haven’t started anything yet. Because I’ve been sick I haven’t felt like doing anything. If you didn’t know when I am sick I don’t read which sucks because it’s like the perfect time to read but it’s just to much work for me. I prefer to lay back and watch a movie and aimlessly watch YouTube videos. Is anybody else like this?
~ Reading Next ~
So, I am spoiling my January TBR a little bit here but that’s ok. I am continuing with the #KeeperofKing reading group this year and January’s book pick is Billy Summers. I am already behind on this group read because they had the first discussion on the first half of the book yesterday. I am hoping to read the entire book this week so I can participate in next weeks discussion. Erin and I are continuing our monthly buddy reads this year as well. We are taking a little break from the Shadowhunter world for a little bit so for January we’ve decided to read Again, but Better by Christine Riccio. Once again I have fallen behind but luckily we aren’t in any rush or on a set timetable so we just pushed our discussion on the first 5 chapters to next week.
What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?
I’ve also only read one book so far this month, I think it’s a slow reading month!

Yeah it’s definitely been a slow start. I guess that’s what being sick will get you. I’m hoping that things will pick up now that I’m feeling better. I hope things pick up for you as well!!

I hope you’re feeling better now. My brother also got COVID positive today and my husband and daughter went to his place just yesterday. I just hope they haven’t catch it. I just finished The siren of Sussex and will start beyond lavender field later today.

I’m so glad you’re feeling better! Me and my whole family tested covid positive this week too and I can totally understand when you say you had no energy to do anything other than watching YouTube.. hopefully we will recover soon too🙂
