My Week In Books 2/14 – 2/20

Hello bookworms!!

This has been one crazy week. I had surgery on Wednesday. I ended up having to stay overnight but I was able to come home Thursday afternoon. I’m still in a lot of pain though which really sucks. It mostly only hurts when I move. It literally feels like my insides are being pulled on. I can’t even sit up straight or stand up straight without pain. I’m going to try and call the doctor today, but it says they are closed so I don’t know if I will be able to talk to anyone. My uncle is still fighting. They have lowered the ventilator down from 100% to 55% so it’s a step in the right direction. As for my reading I didn’t get a whole lot of reading done this week. I read a little bit before my surgery but after my surgery I have been sleeping a lot. I did manage to read some yesterday though.

Unfortunately, I didn’t finish anything this week which has set me back on my TBR for #Tropeathon which is a bummer but it is what it is.

~ Currently Reading ~

I didn’t think I was going to make any progress in Different Seasons this week. I had completely forgotten about it until Saturday when I realized we were going to be having a discussion on it the next day. I ended up picking it up Sunday and reading it in 2 sittings. I had to take a break because I needed some pain meds, and they knock me out for a few hours. I’ve now read 3/4 of the short stories. I did pick up the first book for #Tropeathon at the beginning of the week and I managed to read 110 pages but I haven’t picked it up since.

~ Reading Next ~

These are the last 4 books on my #Tropeathon TBR. Honestly, I doubt I will read all of these, but I really want to read The Savage and the Swan because it is this months pick for the Lost in Romance Book Club but we will see what I am able to manage.
