Hello bookworms!!
Well, I am back to being late sharing my TBR post with y’all. I feel like I am kind of slumping a little bit the past month or so. It doesn’t really show because I am still reading like crazy. I can’t really explain it. Anyways here are the 9 books I hope to read in the month of May but of course I always hope to read more.
Insomnia – This month’s #KeeperofKing read is Insomnia by Stephen King. As is the case with pretty much every King book I read now I don’t know anything about this book. I go into his books completely blind. I don’t even read the synopsis anymore. I have already started this book and will be reading it over the course of the entire month.
By the Book – This book was released on May 3rd. I was provided an ecopy of this book through NetGalley. I was hoping to have it read and reviewed on release day but that didn’t happen. I am really close to finishing it as of when I am typing this up but by the time this post goes live, I may have already finished it.
Dark Obsessions – This is a book that I have already finished. I signed up for a blog tour review for this book and my stop was on May 4th. You can read my thoughts on this book here if you missed that post.
Starry-Eyed Love – This is another book I got from NetGalley. This one releases on May 10th and of course I am behind so my review for this one is going to be late. I really loved the first book in this series When Sparks Fly and I’m looking forward to reading this one.
Where There’s Doubt – I signed up for a blog tour review for this book and my stop is on May 27th. I don’t tend to read a whole lot of Thrillers and I don’t really know why that is because when I do read them, I tend to like them. I guess you can say I am stepping out of my comfort zone more this year and when I read the synopsis of this book it sounded intriguing.
Of Legends and Roses – This is another book I am reviewing for a blog tour and my stop is on May 20th. If you asked me what my top read genres were, I would say romance and fantasy. This is a YA Fantasy and just like with the previous book the synopsis intrigued me.
The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry – This book was recommended to me by Jenny from Book Coffee Happy for the 12 in 12 challenge. I will be listening to the audiobook for this one. I am loving this challenge because people have recommended me a mix of books I have been wanting to read and books I probably wouldn’t have picked up on my own. This book is probably one of those that I wouldn’t have picked up on my own. All I know about this book is what the synopsis says. I am looking forward to reading this. Fun fact Jenny and I are birthday twins!!
Under the Whispering Door – I am going to be buddy reading this with Jonny. This is a maybe read for this month. We may end up reading it in June it really just depends on the library at this point. Jonny just published his new book The BEK Curse. If you click on the link above it will take you to his post where he shares everything you need to know about it. It’s a short read and if you’re in the mood for thrills and chills I definitely recommend you check out his books.
Twisted Love – This is the Lost in Romance Book Club pick for May. When Michelle suggested this as one of our picks, I read the synopsis but I have since forgotten what it’s about so I will be going it blind.
These are all of the books I am hoping to get to this month. So far, I have already finished 3 books for the month one of which isn’t even on this TBR, so I think I am off to a good start. Let’s hope I can keep it up. Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What do you plan to read in May?
Good luck Misty!📚🤗💜

this time I have tried to have a TBR. Made a note and all that. then I kept the note in a safe place and now I can’t remember that safe place.

I write my TBRs down in my planner as well as on my blog. I have forgotten where I have written stuff before.

Terry Tyler’s books always hook me, Misty, and I’ve read several. Hope you enjoy it! I absolutely loved Under the Whispering Door. It takes a little longer to setting in with than the Cerulean Sea, but stick with it. Happy Reading!

This will be the first book I’ve read by Terry Tyler but I’m looking forward to it. Everyone I’ve talked to about Under the Whispering Door has said they really enjoyed it but Cerulean was better.
