Hello bookworms!!
It’s that time again!! It’s time for the 20 Books of Summer Challenge that is hosted by Cathy from 746books. If you’ve never heard of this challenge before it takes place from June 1st to September 1st, and you just read 10, 15 or 20 books in that amount of time. For all the rules (which are pretty much non-existent) click the link above.
This will make the fourth time I have participated in this challenge and if I am not mistaken this is the 6th year Cathy has hosted this challenge. So far, I’ve never been able to reach my goal even on the years that I set it for 10 books. Last year I set my goal for 20 books and came oh so close to completing the challenge. I decided that I am going to go for 20 books again this year. Who knows maybe 2022 will be the year I actually read the full 20? Here are the 20 books I hope to read over the next 3 months.
Summer TBR
I know this isn’t 20 books it’s only 15 but let me explain. This year I decided to allow myself a little bit of room for some mood reading so that is what the remaining 5 books will be. I will just read whatever I am in the mood for at the time and add them to the list as I go. As for the set TBR I am doing like I did last year and not allowing myself to switch out books even though Cathy says that is allowed. I always read more than 20 books over the 3 months, so I know that is possible, but my goal is to read the books I initially pick to read which apparently, I have a hard time doing.
I am feeling mostly confident with the books I chose because over half of them are books I have to review for blog tours or NetGalley so I will at least get those read. Hopefully!! Are you participating in this challenge this year? What are you planning to read? Don’t forget to share the links to your TBRs to Cathy’s announcement post which I have linked at the very beginning of this post.
Thanks so much for joining in Misty, it looks like you have a good range for all kinds of reading mood! Good luck and happy reading.

Thank you!! I saw your TBR. You have a variety of genres to choose from. I don’t know that I could go without listening to audiobooks though. I would for sure fail this challenge if I couldn’t listen to audiobooks as well.

Thank you Susan!! Maybe I will use it as one of my mood reads. I swear I want to read it but with everything else I need/want to read I haven’t been able to fit it in. 😂 Good luck to you as well!!

I am really looking forward to Fake It Till You Bake It. I’m surprised I’ve held off from reading it for so long. I’ve also been really interested in Sadie for a while.

Some great books on your list, Misty. I chose over 30 to choose from, so hopefully I will read or listen to 20 of them. Good luck with this challenge, you can do it!

Thank you I am looking forward to all of them!! If my strategy for this year doesn’t work next year I will try your strategy. I will eventually read the full 20 without having to switch anything out. Thank you and good luck to you as well!!

Allowing yourself some mood reads is a good tactic. I loved Firekeeper’s Daughter and Sadie (the audiobook of that was so well done). Lots of others I have my eye on.

Thank you I thought that would help me read the full 20. Hopefully it actually works. I will be listening to the audiobook of Sadie!!
