This Week In Books

My Week In Books 5/9 – 5/15

Hello bookworms!!

I don’t really have much to update y’all on again this week. I did get my second massage this week. I personally don’t understand how people find massages relaxing because I can never fully relax during a massage, and they are kind of painful. Me and my husband also tried a new restaurant this week. Well, it was new to us. It is an Italian place. It was good but we didn’t fall in love with it. We did fall in love with the rolls though. Those were the best rolls we’ve ever had lol. I guess now we can just talk about the books because my week was pretty boring.

~ Recently Finished ~

I finished both of these this week and both of them are books I got through NetGalley. I enjoyed By the Book. This is a Beauty and the Beast retelling, but I wouldn’t really consider it a retelling. I will explain that more in my review coming soon. Lastly, I finished Starry-Eyed Love which again I really enjoyed but the repetitiveness got annoying very fast. Review for this one will be coming soon as well.

~ Currently Reading ~

I am still making my way through both of these books. I’m buddy reading The Bane Chronicles with Erin and we only have 3 stories left which we will finish this week. I’m really enjoying this book and wish that we had a full-length book from Magnus not just a bunch of short stories. I’m also still making my way through Insomnia. I am 430 pages into this one and I’m into it enough to want to keep reading to find out what happens but at the same time I am kind of bored.

~ Reading Next ~

There are only 5 books left on my TBR for this month, but these are the 3 I will be going for next. First, I will for sure be picking up Of Legends and Roses next because my stop on the blog tour is coming up Friday, so I need to get it read soon. Twisted Love is this month’s Lost in Romance Book Club pick, so I need to make sure I finish that one on time as well. Last but certainly not least I will be reading The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry which is a recommendation for the 12 in 12 challenge this year and I am looking forward to reading something else I probably wouldn’t have picked up on my own.

What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?
