This Week In Books

My Week In Books 7/4 – 7/10

Hello bookworms!!

It’s time for another weekly check in. As usual lately I don’t really have much to update y’all on. I was supposed to have an appointment on Friday about my wrists, but they called and rescheduled it for the 19th so that’s annoying. My mother-in-law had her next to last chemo treatment this week. She has one more at the end of the month and hopefully she will be done. Other than that, I was reading and working on getting my TBR together for the month and for Graphicsathon which starts today. Anyways lets take a look at what my reading has looked liked this week.

~ Recently Finished ~

Both of these were books I read for blog tours. The Survivors by T.C. Weber was for R&R Book Tours and unfortunately it didn’t work for me in the end. There were things that I really liked about the book, but it wasn’t enough to make me really like the book. I then read The Elephant Girl by Henriette Gyland which was for Rachel’s Random Resources. This one I really enjoyed. There were things that bothered me but not enough to make me not like it.

~ Currently Reading ~

I’m still slowly making my way through Under the Dome by Stephen King with Nina. We’re around the 50% mark now. Have you ever really been into a book but at the same time it is pissing you off to the point where you want to throw the book? That is me with this book. There are so many characters who are getting away with so much and it’s making me so mad but at the same time I’m into the story. I’m also still working on Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare with Erin. We have finally gotten some answers but as I’ve said several times at this point it was drug out way too much. We literally have 4 chapters left to read at this point I believe, and we still have to have the big showdown plus the conclusion. It’s too rushed but I’m still liking the story just not as much as previous books in this world.

~ Reading Next ~

I will be starting Village of Salt and Sorrow by Laura Holt today. It’s not pictured because there isn’t a cover for it yet. I am on the blog tour for this one on Friday 15th so keep an eye out for my review then. As I mentioned at the beginning of this post Graphicsathon started today. If you saw my TBR post yesterday, then you know I have a massive TBR for this readathon. I’m going to start with Manga Classics: Anne of Green Gables and Heartstopper vol. 4. Both of these are due back soon, so I want to finish them first. Hopefully I will be able to get through more than just these 2 but they are my priority. I am on the blog tour for If She Only Knew by Eva Mackenzie on July 22. If I don’t get to this one this week, it’s no big deal but I am trying to get a little bit ahead with my review books.

What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of these books? Are you participating in Graphicsathon
