This week was another week where I didn’t do a whole lot. I did go to a friend’s house who I haven’t seen in years, and I finally got to meet her son who is about to turn 1. I spent a few hours with them and had lunch and just caught up on our lives. Other than that, this was another week where I focused on reading. Here is what my reading has looked like this past week.
~ Recently Finished ~
There are only 6 books shown in the picture above, but I actually finished 7. One of the books I read still doesn’t have a cover. This week was Graphicsathon so you will see a lot of what I read were graphic novels. I started off the week with the Manga Classics: Anne of Green Gables. I didn’t know there was a manga for this book until I just happened to come across it at the library. I then read Heartstopper vol. 4. I’m glad I’ve finally read these because I’ve been wanting to watch the adaptation. I know there’s going to be one more book in the series and I can’t wait for it. I then finished Village of Salt and Sorrow by Laura Holt. This is the book that doesn’t have a cover yet. I read this for a blog tour, and you can see that post up on my blog now. Erin and I finally finished lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare. I’m not enjoying her books as much as I initially was but I’m still liking the story enough to continue on however, we will be taking a break and reading something completely different because I was so annoyed after finishing this one, I didn’t want to jump straight into the next one. My favorite book of the week and possibly the month was Chef’s Kiss by Jarrett Melendez. Everything about this book was amazing. I then read The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang. I thought this story was cute. Last but not least I read The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes by Neil Gaiman and unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this one at all.
~ Currently Reading ~
I’m still making my way through this book which I am buddy reading with someone over on Instagram. I didn’t actually pick this one up this week, but I will be catching up on it today.
~Reading Next ~
These are the last 5 books left on my TBR. It would be 6 but I’ve decided not to read a book I had originally planned too at least not right now. The one I will be for sure picking up next is If She Only Knew by Eva MacKenzie. I am on the blog tour for this one on the 22nd so I need to get on this one. Honestly, I have them pictured in the order of importance somewhat.
What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?
