Hello bookworms!!
This week was a little bit more eventful for me and there was less reading getting done. Partially because I had other stuff to do and partially because I’ve been rewatching Blue Bloods. I finally had another appointment with my orthopedic doctor on Tuesday about the pain in my wrists and arms and he decided to order what is called a nerve conduction study and an EMG I believe. I’m not 100% sure what these are but I have that appointment on Wednesday. Then on Saturday I went to a family reunion. It was the first reunion I’ve been to in I don’t really know how long. I’m not particularly close to most of the people on that side of the family and I don’t like going to these things by myself so when my mom said she was going to be going (also her first one in years) I decided I would go. There was some slight drama but otherwise it was nice catching up with some of them. As for my reading this week, I only finished 1 book. I did read other books, but they are still ongoing. Without further delay here is what my reading looked like this week.
~ Recently Finished ~
The only book I finished this week was for a blog tour I participated in. If She Only Knew is the 3rd book I have read by this author and I enjoyed this one. I kind of hope she plans to write a follow up book.
~ Currently Reading ~
I am getting closer and closer to finishing Under the Dome by Stephen King. I’m currently 76% through it and if everything goes to plan, we will be finishing it in 2 weeks. I’ve really been enjoying this one but at the same time it’s really pissing me off also depending on how it ends will determine how I feel about it overall. I then started Frankie & Bug by Gayle Forman. Erin and I (mostly me) needed a break from our buddy reads of Cassandra Clare books and we decided on this one because it seemed like it would be a cute easy read. Last but not least I started Waking Gods by Sylvain Neuvel which I am buddy reading with Destiny. I had a major migraine when I got home from that family reunion on Saturday that I wasn’t able to read anything and here it is 9 on Sunday and I still haven’t read anything so I am behind by 2 days. I’m currently 22% into it and so far I’m liking it. I will say they were trying to explain something that happened in the previous book and that has really confused me but otherwise it’s good.
~ Reading Next ~
These are the last 4 books left on my TBR for this month. I will for sure be reading Come True and I Am Not Ok this week because I am on the blog tour for both of these on Thursday and Friday. As for Booked on a Feeling and Book Lovers I might have to carry them over into August, but we shall see what happens.
What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What do you plan to read next? Have you read any of the books I mentioned?
I really enjoyed that Neuvel series. Hope your migraine is long gone, Misty!

It sounds like you had a good week, Misty. I hope your doctor is able to get whatever tests you need done, and you can move forward.

I have had Under the Dome on my bookshelves for years. I got it for Christmas years ago… never picked it up! LOL. I hope your doctors can figure out what’s going on, Good Luck!

If it wasn’t for the Stephen King group I’m a part of there’s no telling when I would have read his books on my own. Thank you I just got back from having the test done not to long ago.

I’m still reading it but so far it’s good. The ending is going to determine how I feel about it overall.

That makes sense. The endings can make or break it!
